Backstory:

i recieved this sick in a contest prize! I was so excited to smoke it. I love boxed pressed cigars. They feel great when you hold them... can someone say ergonomics? My first impression was that this cigar screams loudly with quality. It is wrapped extremely well and looks like a diamond... just plain perfect.

Take a look:

It burns when i..... light it:

First thoughs are that the draw is excellent. The burn started out bad (my error) and evened out within 1 minute.. .how the????

The flavor is a sweet and bitter cedary citrusy curse on my tounge. Very wonderful. Its got a dynamic taste that eventually mellows out to a black coffee-like aftertaste.. but we'll go there a bit down the road in this review.

Burn baby burn:

Flavor inferno... ok yes, i am a nerdy newb... what can i say. The ash has split like alot of the cigars that i smoke. i think i found the reason why. i smoke cigars very fast for one reason... and one reason alone. i like a cigar to remain hot at all times, i want that draw to dance and tingle on my developing palette. So i think that is why the end always splits....i could be wrong...

It did not affect the rich and toneful flavor though.. only aesthetics.

Photoshoot:

Well, we are at the halfway point and that coffee black taste is showing its teeth. The flavor is very rich, and as usual, the cigar has a bold and hot draw... and i liek it alor.

Ending up:

Turnsout that this cigar really spices up at the end. PErfect for the first day of snow here in Columbus Ohio. The dynamic 3 part change makes me want more. I really feel that if i could afford to smoek this cigar that i would keep it as my exclusive.. now i know that it may seem like a bold newb statement... but this cigar declares its flavor in abundancy. i havent had this solid 50 minutes of enjoyment in... err.ok, we wont go there!

The Finish:

What a great little cigar. the quality is amazing and the smoke itself was fufilling. Im the kind of guy that like a little looser of a draw with bold cocoa chocolate coffee flavors.. this delivers that AND more.

Nice job, looks like you got your money's worth out of that one!

I love the PAM64s but only occasionally smoke them. I find the Padron x000 series (especially the 3000) to be a satisfying, economical alternative. They're like PAM-lites.

The 64 Principie Anni is the one Padron Anni I used to be able to afford and smoked on occasion. They just jumped from $7 and change to $10 and change at my B&M. So goes life, to many other good smokes I like for much cheaper. Not sure what justified a ~45% price increace but it went up huge.
