Now the fires are a little closer to home. Some people I know and some dear friends are up there trying to put this thing out. 100,000 acres gone right now.

I also have a few friends that live up there. I hope they get this sucker out.

Here are some pictures a friend fighting it has taken.

It's sad with all the losses. Being a firefighter I can say these are difficult to put out. And the heat is intense.

104 degrees yesterday and today is even hotter I think.

I couldn't imagine being in a fire uniform on a day like today trying to put out such an intense fire.

Hopefully the choppers they sent will help a good bit.

Between the pine bark beetles and the dry hot summer, we'll probably see more of these to come.

Prayers for the fire fighters and those affected.

I just text my friend to see if they are getting it controlled. He said it's now twice the size of the Colorado fire.

They are sending in help on the federal level today to try and get this thing controlled.

Went through this last year in South Texas. Best wishes go out to all involved. It is definitely a zero on the fun scale. Sucks.

Over 200,000 acres gone now, this is just nuts.
