I've been distracted and not here much the past few months. Has mostly to do with the wedding of our youngest this past weekend. It was one of those moments you don't get very often... walking your daughter down the isle in front of family and friends and later having the opportunity to address the group... I didn't cry but it was close.

Got me thinking ... **** I'm old. As far as the "milestones in life" go I think they are pretty much covered. Married, house, kids, mortgage paid off, kids graduate from HS, kids graduate from college, Kids find and marry their true love, grandchildren... gotta be careful now I guess as my purpose seems to have been fulfilled.

The only pic I have so far from the wedding...

It is an awesome feeling. My only daughter (only child) got married last December. I am only waiting on the Grandchildren. You look like a proud dad in the pic.

Congrats Dave! I try not to think of things in those terms. When I do, it makes me think that I'm on the downhill side of life. I prefer to look at life as a constant uphill ride and that I have yet to reach the peak. :2

I think when we hit a certain point in life, we stop, take a breath, look around, and realize how much we have to be grateful for.

So happy for all of you, Dave, especially the bride and groom. :)

Gotta be a couple more positive milestones out there for you...and crap, I only covered two of the milestones on your list, and I already gave one of those back. ;)

That's what it's all about, Dave! You remember all those early mornings, late nights, and thousands of knots in your stomach. This is why...

Proud moments to be sure, Dave. Look at it more as "Job well done", now relax, enjoy the grandkids, and enjoy a nice cigar.

Congratulations Dave! Great picture!
Now, it only means you have to find other challenges to create more "milestones".

Congrats Dave.

Old is a state of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it don't matter.

Thanks for the kind words all!

They got back from Jamaica on Saturday night and came to the shack. Headed back to Chicago last night after a french fry fest. (We bought this propane dual basket frier and finally mounted the cutter thing on the barn wall.)

Seem happy and entusiastic about their future a a copule. I'm finally rested up after the marathon marriage stuff.

Time to get organized on herf planning!!!
