View Full Version : Gotta Love The Women In Our Lives
I spent almost 6 hours today pressure washing my driveway. The driveway is 125 feet long and 20 feet at its widest. My Neighbor came outside while I was doing this and she stated "Why wash it, its just going to get dirty again". I just laughed it off and continued working. Leigh got home from work and she stated "Why wash it, its going to rain and get dirty again". It has to be a guy thing about keeping the outside of our houses clean. It has been 3 years since i have done this last and it was getting real bad. I figured everyone here needed a good laugh.

meh, I don't wash mine unless there is some serious mud/dirt or oil.

I have 2 trees that hover above my driveway, so I get a thin layer of "SLIME" that gets slick when it gets wet. Gotta love finding that out on a motorcycle.

See, you have a great reason to wash it. Me, not so much.
Good job Larry, you should live in the Pacific Northwest... a pressure washer is as common as a lawnmower!

Sheesh, that's a little extreme even for an HOA! It's the damned driveway for crap sake Do they demand you wash the street too in case the garbage truck leaves an oil stain? :)
I kind of enjoy pressure washing the driveway..patio...front porch...probably because I almost always have a beer and cigar with me :)

Pressure washing is fun.....makes it hard to smoke a cigar while doing it though!...YARD GAR!

+1, :r I'd need to get a truckload of gravel to replace all the driveway I washed away.

Sounds about right. My wife is also the one that will go out after I wash her truck and always seems to manage to find a puddle or mud even if it hasn't rained for days.:sh Drives me absolutely nuts.
I do my driveway and the sidewalks out front about once maybe twice a year. Clearly my neighbors aren't so anal about the exterior of their home as the sidewalk in front of my house is noticeably a different color than theirs.
