If memory serves, they're made by a Mexican company trying to get into the premium market. The company is better known for brands like Te Amo

Arturo Turrent is second generation.
His son Alejandro is pretty much running things now.
TeAmo was their most famous brand from the 70's & 80's.
They were acquired by Altadis couple years ago.

The family has made a name for themselves with Te-Amo. At one time the biggest selling cigar in New York City. After many decades of proabition by the Mexican government they've allowed Mexican manufacuters to use tobacco grown outside of Mexico. The Turrents have since produced many lines taking advantage of this change. Some hits, some misses.

Search hard and you may find some good stuff. Do yourself a favor and find an 100% Mexican Te-Amo. It's love or hate for sure. When I smoke one in the truck my bride hates the smell.:) "It smells like a barnyard in here.":D
