The only place I would trust in TJ is the LCDH at Ave. Revolución 1115 Tijuana Baja California.

I love popping over to TJ every time I am in the area. However, I won't drive across; I prefer to park on the US side in a secured lot and take the bus over that drops you off a block away from the LCDH shop. I also prefer to go early and leave early in order to avoid the long lines at the border coming back. Make sure you have your passport ready and a good backpack with you.

I think it is important that a voice of experience give advice. After three viewings I'd say I'm more experienced than damn near anyone else in the world.

OP, go to the LCDH only. The kids on the street can you get anything you want, you just don't want cigars from them.

The shop in TJ is owned by the same guy that owns the one in Cancun. Its nice - I would interested to know if it still has "Mexican" cigars, let me know please.

And yes be careful - this is a great country full of wonderful people but you are headed to a place you want to be in your hotel before dark, well before IMHO.
