Does anyone else love egg nog and bourbon as much as I do around this time of the year? I have to buy the egg nog in small amounts to keep my cholesterol from shooting through the roof. :D

What kind of bourbon do you guys use?

Takes a little more work, but you should give this recipe a try:

Whiskey Flip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2C-ooaQ7E4).

It's good, although I use rye instead of bourbon.

Enjoy.:)

I'll just take the bourbon. But if i must put it in egg nog I might use Bulleit or Basil Haydens both very smooth bourbons.

I'm more of a Eggnogg and Brandy person myself. ALthough I will substitute a good canadian whiskey, Crown Royal.

I wouldn't mind egg nog with a bourbon chaser, of visa versa.

I always forget to bring eggnog into the rotation around the holidays. I need to put up a reminder on the grocery list.

Ah yes, bourbon and egg nog. Boubon for me, egg nog for the kids, a great pairing.

They do make a couple of premixed, a pretty good one is made by Pennsylvania Dutch.

That stuff is PACKED with stupid calories...BUT, I still like to enjoy some on Christmas day. I think I'm going to enforce my egg nog with Gentlemen Jack this season! :D

Eggnog is seriously good. In the supermarket I frequent there's t.v.'s that run culinary type programs and one of them suggested using eggnog as batter for french toast. It sounds like a phenomenal idea.

Use to have bad christmas sweater parties. Two big drinks were egg nog and rum, and hot apple cider with korbel extra smooth. Damn tasty!
