Emmanuel (Manny) Ferrero, Senior VP of Ashton (One of my very favorite brands) collapsed while dancing with his wife, and could not be revived. A great fan of cigars, and really active in promoting cigars all over.

Sad news. Ashton has always been a solid standby. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of spending a week with Manny in Sturgis this last year. His passion for cigars, not just cigars, but the way they were made, handled, smelled, the lifestyle of cigars was second to none. Manny had a palate that every one of us would desire, he could pick flavours out of cigars, pair cigars with drinks and food like nobody else. A legend has passed. RIP my friend, RIP

That's too bad to hear. Everyone in their life has their time to go. Atleast he got to share his last moments with his wife. Not a bad way to go out in my opinion.

And if you knew Manny personally, no doubt that's an accurate statement.

Wish I could have spent time personally with him. Jeremy had smoked and dined and talked with him many times, and Jeremy was always very upbeat about his times with Manny when he talked about them.

Talking with Jeremy yesterday, he also confirms that Manny would have picked passing while enjoying good company and family. R.I.P. Manny.

Not meant as an insult or anything, I just thought I'd share my thoughts from reading the thread title :
I read it as "Lost a great cigar today" thats what I got from quickly looking.

My thought : I hope it wasn't an FFP...

But for real, it's sad that it had to happen so suddenly. But, he was with the person he loved, enjoying himself.
