I get the feeling its a scam after doing a quick google search and finding page after page of complaints i wouldn't hold out hope.

CI dosnt do discreet international shipping though and i found them on Atlantic thanks my wallet just got thinner.

I guess it is kinda " AKWARD"

The reason I asked is I was curious if anyone had ordered around the time they posted the sale on here. I ordered 2 box's and its going on 2 weeks and I've had 1 e mail from them, and they " happened" to have a power failure the day I inquired and it could be another week before they would know anything. So as you can imagine I don't really have that warm and fuzzy feeling about this company right now.

I steered clear of them because of bad feedback. IIRC there were warnings posted about them in the advertisement thread, and a link to consumer affairs complaints. Did you try pming them on the board? They could lose alot of business if someone on here ends up with first hand experience paying them and not getting anything, which is what alot of those consumer affairs complaints were about. It's basically stealing...

I checked with the CC co and they charged the card on the 13th, I call on the 21st and they sent the e mail about having a crash "that" day and didn't have any info. I've called numerous times and left messages since and have heard nothing. The customer service # always goes to voice mail as does the # to check on your order. The CC co suggests giving them a few more days. I've never had an order from an internet co take 2 weeks. Shipping was by UPS according to their site but I haven't received any kind of Number from them to track.

I plan on giving them until Wednesday or Thursday and then I'm contacting the CC company again and go from there. And believe me I plan on leaving a few more messages.

I know one thing, even if my smokes show up it'll be the last time I order from them. Their customer service sucks.....big time.

I hate to say it, but you likely got scammed. Keep on your CC company about this; they should be able to reverse the charge. I hate seeing someone get ripped off; it pi**es me off. :sl :sl :sl Oh yeah, and a :gary as well.

Well I called the credit card co and started the dispute with CheaperCigars. This is the first time I've had to do this. I have left messages with them and have heard nothing. I have called I don't know how many times and got nothing but voice mail. Hope no one else has to put up with this crap.

I wonder if they sold more boxes than they actually had and are just waiting for more inventory while covering with some flimsy "power outage" story. Hopefully you'll get your money back or your cigars.

My guess is your CC company has told them that you were disputing a charge and that prompted them to finally respond.

Exactly how long did this power outage last? If it had been longer than a day, certainly it would have made the news. I call :bs

I would say that the idea that they oversold and want to keep cashing in could be plausible. Either way, I would tell them to refund my money immediately or I would continue the dispute.

Nice heads up on this.....something about their site seems off to me! Does CA screen vendors before allowing them membership and the ability to advertise? Sounds like a simple google search would have precluded them from even joining?

No, we do not. We also do not endorse nor recommend any, and we will boot any where we get concrete evidence of tomfoolery / foul play. But basically, it's caveat emptor. We take no money/mechandise/gratuities, and we don't take responsibility for members transactions with them.

Well, responded yesterday to their email as I posted earlier and called their " customer service " number and left a message and as of close of bussness light night still no response. These guys suck. Still waiting to hear from my credit card co.

That's the first time I've ever heard of any customer service line always going to voice mail. If these guys are on the up and up, then they'd have someone available to answer calls during normal business hours. I say continue with the dispute process with your CC company. :2

agreed....customer service and straight to voice mail don't work well together!

Sounds to me like it's just some guy in his house selling sticks from his basement. Even B&M's have phones, and at least the 1 here isn't always so busy they can't answer the phone. I wonder what would happen if you called on a weekend (IE hours he might not be at another job).

I've called weekends, right after opening time, closing time always get voice mail. They have 4 options, buy wine, buy cigars, check on your order and customer service and everyone goes to voice mail.

This. We did try to warn everyone off; it's hard to just come out and say "I think it's a scam" when you're suspicious as hell but just not 100% certain; the signs were there though.

:tu Works for me. I think as often as they were posting they were just trolling the site. They hooked and landed their sucker and now they'll move on to another pond and see what they can catch there.
