Any shops I must visit? It looks as if there is a casa in Madrid.

We will spend most of our time in the south (Marbella, Seville, Gibraltar, etc.), with a couple days in Madrid.

I dunno much about Madrid as i live (sometimes) almost on the other end of the country in Sitges and only rarely visit the capital but what i do know is there is a casa is Madrid but im unsure where but this wont be a problem is most of the small tobacconists have a decent lineup with great prices and if your willing to make a effort to speak Spanish as a tourist (even a bad effort) they will normally cut you a good deal.

BTW i dunno how often youve been to spain but stay away from the tourist traps and areas (really its shite and EXPENSIVE) if you want a good meal for lunch goto a (well several if your like me) tapas bar/s outside the tourist area its cheap and damn good just get a pint and some nibbles ill suggest anchovies, olives and baby fried squid though boiled squid in ink is good too and move on to the next one.

If your like me and my mates youll repeat that 5 or 6 times before heading for a afternoon nap.

Thanks for the suggestions. Any attempt I make at spanish will necessarily be bad. I took french in HS! Still, I'll attempt what little I know.

Any attempts is better than no attempt and will prolly get some something for at least trying.

Thanks for the advice! I'll least know how to great someone, say thank you, please, etc. I'll also know how to ask in spanish if they speak english. This has worked well in other countries where I didn't speak their language. An attempt and a smile go a long way. :tu

Gibralter is a cool place; take the hike to the top and look across the ocean at Morocco. Lots of places to smoke cigars.

Never been to Madrid; if you get the chance to see Barcelona I would highly recommend the trip!

It looks like Gibraltar has a casa (as well as another shop or two I've heard of).
