If you read kindle books, be sure to check out this site Pixel of Ink (http://www.pixelofink.com/)

Several times a day, they have free and very cheap books.

Be sure to make sure when you check out that the kindle price is 0.00 as sometimes they won't be free any longer.

I think it is a pretty cool site. I downloaded 2 books today already.

Much appreciated! I'll pass it along to my father-in-law!

Facebook is a good place to track these throughout the day. There is also Ereader News Today that post Kindle books (many are the same).
For Nook users there is also Cheap-e Reads.
Great sites not only for free books but also they will track when "best sellers" are discounted.

. . . There is also Ereader News Today that post Kindle books . . .

That's the one that I use - recommend it.

https://www.facebook.com/EreaderNewsToday (https://www.facebook.com/EreaderNewsToday) - or -

http://ereadernewstoday.com/ where you can sign up to have the lists emailed to you if you don't do Facebook.

Most of her stuff is linked to Amazon but some is over on Smashwords.
