My first mistake

So, I thought I'd try a new tobacco (All I've had for a few weeks is Petersons CC and Irish Whiskey)

So, I went on TobaccoBarns website and ordered a 2oz bag of Balkan blend.

I've smoked 4 bowls of it now and I have to say, I don't really like it. It's just meh :rolleyes:

I plan on smoking another bowl or two to make sure that I actually don't like it as much as I think.


Also, does anyone enjoy balkan/latakia? I'd like to send it to someone who actually enjoys it, rather than keep it and let it go bad.

I'm fickle towards latakia. Sometimes I love it, sometimes not so much. Perhaps you should sit on it for a bit.

I go in moods as well, sometimes thats all I want to smoke. It just sits in a mason jar or tin or baby jar until I want it again, can be months at a time.I think I have one jar from 8 months ago I haven't opened it to re-smoke it. But when I do I know I will enjoy it. You may like it better with some time on it. I have had some latakia blends with 4-8 years on it and it was nice and smooth. I was same way with the GI Pease Cairo have 2 tins 1 I opened and smoke from time to time other, I am putting up for a couple years.

I like Latakia, but not sure on balkan. I've had Latakia Oriental blends. I was really into the peter stokkebye proper english for a while, until I had some Frog Morton On the Town. Now the PS tastes too bitter for me.

I enjoy Frog Morton Across the Pond REALLY much. SG Balkan flake is agreable too. I've also enjoy Solani White and Black.
