So we're in the middle of this crazy, over-complicated move.
Sold our place here, building in NH, staying in NJ over the winter while NH gets built.
Packed one set of stuff for thanksgiving (and my wife is there for good), now working on one set of stuff for a 10' truck to have over the winter (even if we don't need some it - some is just important stuff we don't trust to put in storage), and the remainder to go into to storage.
Spent close to a week packing with my wife, now I'm back here finishing up tonight and tomorrow.
Ordered some deep dish tonight as a last chance for chicago take out. Realized all the dishes were packed so I'm eating it on a china plate with our silver place setting :r
I will be so thankful when this is all over!!!!

Wow, that means moving twice. I thought it was rough just moving from the apartment straight to the house. Thoughts and prayers w/ you and the family on the move. Don't stress too much.:tu

Moving is always a pain. You get those zen moments of "Do I really need all this stuff?"
It sounds as if you are on the home stretch, though.
Giordanos?

Good luck with the multi-state move, Justin.
Did the "short, intermediate" move when we had our present house built. Not fun.

Moving does suck but hopefully all goes well with it. If you are moving to Northern NJ, I'd love to smoke a cigar with you. Let me know

My moves have been minor (only once since being married, lived at home before that), but have helped a few friends move and I know it isn't fun. Good luck with everything.
Where about in NJ are you staying intermediately?

Giordanos?
Calo, but only because I FINALLY saved up the 20 coupons for "free" (really just $10 off) pizza.... Giordanos is my usual favorite for deep dish, along with Apart for thin crust and Spacca Napoli for sorta thin crust...

Sucks it's not summertime. I spend many summer weekends in Sea Isle City. Pretty quiet down there this time of year, but still nice.

Your last Chicago pizza, and you skipped Giordanos to save 10 bucks?
Who are you, Julian....who are you?

I can empathize! I was a State Department brat and moved 9 times! Major moves! So, as Marty Brennaman says: "Hang with 'em!"

Moving is the absolute worst!!!!!
I move almost every 12 months since I'm still in school and the move-in specials are usually $300/month less than I would pay if I renewed. 10 months left on this lease and I'm already dreading it! :hn

You don't realize how much crap you actually own until you try to pack it all.

I abhor moving. It's one of the most stressful things a person can do. At least it's a good time to get rid of a bunch of stuff. It's worth it once you're settled. Then it's time to collect some more useless stuff and throw it all out the next time you move. :D
