I just finished the HOYO EXCALIBER aged 22 years it was a $35.00 C'GAR. And well worth every penny it was not voted Cigar of the year by CA it should have been. If you have the extra funds in your bank. trust me when I say, well worth it.

THEY ARE NOT OUT YET FOR PUBLIC PURCHASE. But will be at the end of next month

Is this the standard Hoyo Excaliber Churchill from a 20 year old box or a special series?

Nice, I like the Excaliber Legend. I can't imagine a 22 year old smoke. Awesome

When I was a fresh newbie around then, I used to smoke only that cigar. I liked em a lot. Really creamy and sweet.
But I smoked the No.1's, which is actually way too big a cigar to be smoking in public. Never lost the taste for em,
just moved on to others....AF Hemingway, Havanas, etc.

i LOVE the excalibers! As a noob i stocked up on some and loved them! Is this literally an excaliber that has been aged for 22 years!? if so i NEED to find one or two of these!

Not for 35 bucks a smoke, sorry. I like the Hoyos but that's a bit much just for an old Excalibur.

this is true, 35 is very steep, even more so considering it is an excalibur

I agree....that's approaching and surpassing aged Cohiba territory. Great little cigars, but buy new and age
your own next time, lol. In fact, I have so little faith in aging non-cuban cigars, I am surprised there was
anything left to taste inside that wrapper.

What kind of aged Cohiba are you talking about? 35/stick is an okay price (not great) for a non-aged Siglo VI

You can get a siglo VI for just over $20 ROTT

No offense, but the NC Hoyo line is not that fancy. Excaliber has always been a mediocore cigar in the scheme of things, but an old stand-by for many. Well priced, well distributed.

I will let u guys and gals know when they will be out, I just happen to have a brother inlaw who owns the greatest smoke shop in simi valley, so when he received these HOYO'S in ERROR he gave me a call.

Answer to one of the ?'s is {they are going to be on sale at the end of next month, they only made 45000 that's it. I'm going to purchase 4 boxes when they arrive. I will put my contact info in the post when I receive them.

and then I'm going to have a conest for all of you on this site and the lucky winner will be able to purchase a box of these limited awsome C'GARS, because the odds of you being able to purchase is way way out of this world.

I'm going to think of a contest, if you have any suggestions on this please reply with your ideas.

Thank You

I'm not aware of any NC Hoyo with this description or price tag.

Could you enlighten us as to whether this is an nc or not?

If they have just made 45000 of them then they are not aged 22yrs, regardless of if the tobacco used. Furthermore for you to assume that this community would have a hard time finding a limited non-Cuban is just laughable.

Not just sales pitch, a shady sales pitch.

Either the OP was fed a line of mularkey by his retailer or there's something far more devious going on here.

There is no $35 NC Hoyo Excalibur from 1990 set to be released anytime in the near or distant future.

Which is why I asked the OP what cigar exactly he is referring to.

Well, what say you mr cigarsmoker2543? Can you let us know a little bit about this cigar?

As a rule, General Cigar debuts new cigars at the IPCPR, and not at random times during the year. I have an extensive collection of Excalibur, and would also be interested in hearing accurate details (if they really exist!)

Let me answer two of the ?'s

1] NO this is not a sales pitch, I was passing on a great cigar, GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS:D

2] NO THEY ARE NOT C'S

This is directed to Question Number 1 when and if you ever own your own CIGAR store maybe you will receive Items not yet on the market and or a special item some one wants you to try numbnuts

This is what I was thinking. Not surprised you brought it up :D

I certainly wouldn't pay $35 for a 22 year old Excalibur. Maybe a 22 year old des Dieux, okay not maybe... I would.

Still giving you the benefit of the doubt here... I'd really like to know more about the cigar you smoked that you paid $35 for.

I would be very shocked to know that there's any new Excalibur product that is an NC that I've never seen or heard of.

You may PM me if you'd like.

You might want to do a little research as to the background of the various people here before you assume any one (or more) of them do not, in fact, work in the industry! There are a surprising number of members here that operate, or have operated cigar stores all across the country. Plus a number of members here are either reps for cigar manufactures or work in other capacities for manufactures and/or distributors. Don't just assume that someone questioning a statement is speaking out of ignorance. I have a fairly in-depth cigar knowledge, but I'm still a very low rank amateur compared to a large number of members here!!

Sit back, get to know the people here. That way, you will know the ones to contact via PM if you have questions or conflicting information you'd like to verify. There are many great resources to be explored and used, but mostly it takes time to get to know who is who and what they have to offer!:)

put the shovel down.

obnoxious and snide comments meant only to stir $hit up after a post was made to try and calm things down is both stupid and disrespectful to the effort we put in here to maintain calm.

Please make an effort to think before you post.

We shouldn't all jump to the conclusion he is pitching a sale. We don't know much about him either. I personally don't think either him or us got off on a good foot with this thread. He was excited to give us some news whether its correct or not, he thought/thinks it is. Instead of bashing him up we should be asking questions about his source of information. For all we know he is a newby (no offense) and might have had his limb pulled in a joke which he took seriously.

Can you tell us where all this info came from?

Big difference between not being able to afford a 35.00 cigar vs. not willing to spend 35.00 for a cigar.

Many of our members have spent much more for a single sought after cigar.
