It looks like Dark Lord Day will be on April 28th this year. I have not seen anything about when tickets go on sale yet.

I'm SOOOOO going to try and make this event this year if I can get tickets. I'm subscribed to their FB and Twitter so presumably CA should know when tickets are going to go on sale. :tu

I was just at 3F's last night for dinner. In town for a couple of days, stuck at the plant mostly. Didn't see anything about DL day posted, which is strange with it that close.
Did see cases upon cases of Zombie Dust going out the door though.

Their brewery is right down the street from where I live :)....too bad I'm in Cali right now..I hope it lasts until I get back!

Every bit of 80 today in Memphis, so I think you don't have much to fear on Dark Lord Day, not that it's held in Memphis
or anything. Short of the "look out" blast of freezing weather that always comes in to kill people's tomatoes, I think
winter phoned it in in 2012.

They announced on Facebook this morning 200 additional tickets to be sold to "locals".
2 hours later, this was the line, seen from the middle back, and then the middle up.

Here's something that makes you upset...eBay listings popping up for Dark Lord Day tickets..prices? $500-750 for a pair...you have to HATE people who do this..I know I do.

Stub Hub had them for around $250. There's always going to be people looking out for themselves. The only way to stop it is people to refusing to pay the stupid amount of money for those tickets. $50-$60 I can see but anything over that is crazy.

Just a heads up Deven. You can't even get into the parking lot/property without a ticket. The best bet is to come early Sunday morning when they open at noon. The place fills up but you can get a seat and get some tasty beer.

Not sure I have "extra" Hunahpu either, but I do have enough to trade one or two for one or two Dark Lords :tu Especially since they lowered the bottle allocation from three to two per person last minute (I got a couple extra though).
And serious question, to anyone, what is the Dark Lord bottle allocation? How many bottles do you get for your ticket?

Well I can't really tell, there's talk of tickets and what not... And pictures of kegs... But they only thing that makes me wonder is, why would someone buy tickets to drink beer?

I'm just curious why people are paying 200 dollars a ticket to get into this event? What's the perk?

The tickets are only $15 (max of two) when they go on sale. The tickets last a few minutes before they sell out. The only reason they are $200 is because of scumbags.

Seems kinda weird... You would think that if its that popular it sells out in minutes that they could raise the price, get a larger place to hold the event, and then have more people thru the door as well.

In the past there wasn't tickets, just show up hangout and get your beer. It got so big that they started selling tickets. In 2010 you didn't need a ticket to attend. The ticket just meant you were for sure getting your beer. After the ticket sales anyone could get in line and grab some (within a limit). 2011 was the first year you needed a ticket to attend at all. No ticket no way in. The city started cracking down more which why they are only letting ticket holders in. The brewery sits in the middle of an industrial park.
They only brew X amount of Dark Lord and you can only buy it that day. Last year they did variation bottles of Dark Lord which was pretty cool. Nothing beats sitting in the brew pub drinking Cask Dark Lord and Vanilla Bean Dark Lord.

The only way to ensure that you’ll get some Darklord is to purchase a ticket online. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these tickets go to a local charity.
But if you never have had the beer don't knock it. This will be my 4th year. I would not miss it for the world. Great beer and greater friends.

HAdn't looked up where it is until now...just outside Chicago. My wife wants to go to Chicago some time in the relatively near future and we've got some friends there...it's a very slim chance that we could go this year, but you never know.

In order to attend the event you have to have a ticket. But you could go on Sunday they should have Dark Lord on tap. Hoots would know.

There was rain but it lasted for 30mintues or so in the early morning. It stopped and never came back.
Still the wasn't any girls wrestling in the pond. :D
