Gary Carter RIP

Today, Gary Carter finally succumbed to his cancer. As a Mets fan growing up and a Little League catcher, Gary Carter was one of my favorite players. He played the game with exuberance. Prayers are with The Kid and his family.

When I became a catcher in 1983, I would pretend to be Gary Carter. When he became a Met, I couldn't have been happier.
