Been noticing that most of my recent purchases are 1-1.5 hour smokes and need to have some quicker ones on the ready.

suggestions?? I think you can still list cubans on here but not where to get them so if that is possible please include them.

I like any Petite Corona... most good brands have petite corona sizes on some of their sticks. Some of my favorites are the Cohiba Black, CAO MX2, and CAO LX2... These should take you around 45 minutes, maybe shorter.

To clarify for newer members what our "veterans" know, yes. Perfectly acceptable.

Any of the Cuban perlas or minutos fit the bill.

Ramone Allones Small Club Corona.
It has been listed a couple times, it is one of my top choices!

I ordered some DPG Blues that were extremley small, very tasty but pricey for such small cigars.

As for the question at hand, can't go wrong with:
Party Shorts
RASCC
PLPC
Boli PC
CAO MX2
CAO LX2

Haven't tried any of the Cohiba (NC) PC/minuto sizes, but have heard a lot of good things!

I will agree that these are not necessarily "Upmannesque" in flavor. But I like lots of Cuban cigars that aren't Upmann, so them not having the distinct Upmann profile isn't a factor in my liking or not liking them. I have probably smoked 5 or 6 in the last couple months, not a "harsh" one in the bunch.

Holt's is currently featuring what they calll the Pepin Garcia Short Stack sampler including petite coronas in the 4.5 x 40 range in La Aroma Edicion Especial, Tatuaje Havana VI, Cabaiguan and a house brand, Old Henry.

Here's one no one wants to hear but I am currently very much enjoying the Escudo Cubano 20 Minuto maduro perfecto (4 x 50). A buck and a half each in the bundle, readily available from Thompson Cigar Company. IMO, a terrific quick smoke.

Its a joke people christ i know im a arrogant SOB but really i thought the smily would clear that up.

Either way IMO you got extremely lucky in my books or im just plane unlucky cos the ones i had where getting placed with guantanimos and trinnie short robustos expensive for what they are and overall not worth it ever the major or anything els.

Just lucky i know a midget that smokes to give them too.

Not the best, but those little machine made Villiger Export Maduros are pretty good especially for the price. Plus they're dry cured so you can stash them anywhere for whenever an unexpected smoking opportunity arises.

Really? Or are you just being funny?
Reason I ask is because I tried all the La Vieja Habanas and "The Early Years" and they were some of the most gawdawful things I've ever smoked.
Especially the La Vieja Naturals. Man, were they horrible.
They were super cheap, borderline free on cbid, that's why I got them all. Even the maduro couldn't redeem the batch. :pu

No, truly. They changed the blend a few years ago, and those are nothing like the originals, Scott. But back in 2004-2005, I went through several boxes of 40, and they were awesome. If they hadn't changed the blend, regardless of smoking mostly CCs now, I would still be smoking them.
