Gentlemen, it's been a long time...

Unfortunately I've only managed to smoke one or two real cigars in the last couple of years, mainly due to not having a proper smoking area in my tiny rented apartment and the UK having sucky weather (of course!) which pretty much limits me to about 48 hours of sunlight in July... :D
On the plus side, I have about 5-6 boxes of stogies that have been ageing nicely in the humidor! -(P
So, what's the longest period you've gone without a proper smoke and why?

About two weeks while I was sick.
I didn't have a cigar from birth until I was about 15 so I guess 15 years would be the longest time for me.:D

I spent about a year under the foolish notion that I could be satisfied going without. Then, I remembered that cigars are good. :r
Welcome back, Harpo!
2-3 weeks since I started cigars 2 years ago.

Winter time seriously limits smoking up here. I go months at a time without smoking. Been a warm winter though so I've been able to get a weekly smoke in this year without a problem.

Maybe 10 days when I was sick, or had surgery.

Maybe about 2 weeks because of being too busy on deployment.
I smoke one everynight on shift because about 80% of my fire department is into cigars and it's a good way for us to come together after dinner.

Since starting smoking cigars.... probably 3-4 months was my longest spree. I am currently on about 1 month atm... Just too cold outside to smoke, and I can't smoke in my place and the smoking laws here outlaw it everywhere, even in smoke shops.

For the last 4-5 years I would say a day was the longest I've gone. Before that maybe a month or so.
I would say two-three days for me :sad

Thanks, I went to the doc for the 2nd time yesterday, hopefully the stronger meds will have me on the mend soon. Have tickets for a big cigar event next weekend, gotta get right before then.

I really got into cigars when I was 18. I went to college and was very poor for a while. Now I'm back in it full throttle so I would say about 3 years!

About a month and a half, three times. Almost went a whole summer with no smokes, but caved about halfway through after the golf course I was working at at the time had an event and I got a couple free smokes from a rep that was there(don't even remember who it was, I want to say JdN). Ended up smoking something outta my mini humi I had at the time(8 cigar capacity, who was I kidding? :r). And the other time was when I had just gotten in to pipes, liked it so much that I just didn't want a cigar for awhile.

I've went months without a cigar but I try not to. Mostly cold that stops me from smoking as I have no indoor smoking area at my house. Found a good B&M now and shouldn't have this problem in the future. Actually fairly annoyed it's not 11 yet so I can go have a cigar.

I really wanted to go a different direction with the title of this thread, but resisted until now. By making a point that I wanted to go a different direction I creatively brought to light my thoughts but now after explaining my agenda I blew my smoothness. Arrgghhh.

About a year when Sea Duty was kicking my A. When I got back into them my coolidors had been spot on for a whole year and every cigar smoked as good as it possibly could, game me an idea on construction vs storage.

I wish I had discovered cigars much earlier in life. I was of the opinion that all cigars were the same. Once I smoked my first cigar, my curiosity got the better of me. I wanted see if something better than a Thompson cigar existed. I smoked a few crapy cigars before I discovered (with the help of people here) some really great cigars!:tu
