I talked about it with SWMBO, and I was on the fence until I saw the scale this morning. Went to the meeting and re-affirmed what I saw.
281.2 :O :td
So, I have the accountability with not only SWMBO, but I know I'll be getting :slhere if I backslide.
So, here's the plan:
Eat right
Ride my bike (once I get it either replaced from Wally World or fixed this weekend) 3 days a week
Get my resistance bands in and do this (http://www.liveexercise.com).
I will also be shaking it up a bit with intermittent fasting if I plateau, or want to speed things up, or just feel like it.
I'll keep everyone updated, and get before pics up tonight.
Having a Special K chocolate Protein Shake for lunch. My boys have basketball practice, so I'm going to do some drills and sprints with them this afternoon.

I really need to do the same. Jumped on the scale this morning myself and saw 288.5!! Holy crap. Doctor thinks I should try and drop some weight.

Best of luck! I know quite a few BOTL(myself included) need to drop some lbs and get in shape. Don't ignore the "Losing weight with AWSmith thread either!"

Lots of options with WW. I love how you can have virtually anything to eat with WW, whereas many diets forbid certain foods entirely. My favorite option for fruit is to get frozen 5 lb bags of mixed fruit from Sams Club and mix with 3 lb bags of the berries for zero points. Another favorite was baked potatoes with spray butter and a bit of light sour cream. You can always alter taste with seasonings to get some more variety out of it.

Awesome job Jason. Keep up the good work. The combination of aerobic (bike) and resistance (bands) will work wonders to drop the lbs. Been reading a lot lately about how a good combination of both are really the best bet for getting in shape.

Bad boy this weekend. Ate brisket, sausage, and BBQ chicken, as it was my ML's b-day. Way too much of each. I didn't gain any, though. Getting back on track today.

Stay with it Jason. I need to drop a few lbs as well. I did WW in the past and it's a great way to lose weight in a healthy way. After a few months you will get used to eating less and better and if you eat too much you'll feel like crap. I went about 2 years at one point without fast food and almost puked after having McDonalds one day.

Weight Watchers. I'll keep it up. This new "points plus" system is kinda weird, though.

Good luck man. I recently started my own weight loss idea a few months back. Down 13 pounds currently in 3 months. Nothing drastic, but I'm not really a heavy set person either, 13 pounds is quite a bit for a little guy like me.

I started on WW about 4 weeks ago and with just changing what I eat, I lost 13lbs as of today and I don't really excercise.
Imagine if I excercised!!
Keep it up Jason!!! :tu

Weigh in day.
Another 3.6 lbs. gone.
I'm past 10% of my total weight to lose. (71 to lose, may be less if I keep my resistance training up.)
My goal is another 5 lbs. for next week.

GOod luck. If you are serious, get an exercise routine started ASAP. The starvation only takes you so far. If you are going to exert all the discipline regarding eating - adding exercise is no big deal and the payoff is bigtime.
Exercise is a good way of working off the guilt when you occasionally fall off the diet horse.. which you will.
Good luck and stay strong.

I've started a resistance band training regimen. Stomach bug hit today, and kid with strep, so I didn't get it in today.

So, I didn't get my resistance training in since I got that stomach bug. I'm starting again on Monday.
On the good side, I went to Wally World and my bike fixed. So I can do my cardio workouts. Monday, as well.
I still managed to lose another 1.2 this past week. So I'm right around 270.
Ate at Jason's Deli...might have gained it back. I'll do my points tomorrow.

Good job. The one thing I like about WW is that you can still eat foods you love and it is convenient. Keep up the good work.

I'm stuck at 16lbs! Probably due to the fact I am lazy and don't want to do anything but smoke a cigar when I get home from work!!!

Keep it up guys, starting a new diet on Monday, will keep ya informed. I Started at 314 and lost 18lbs, then just lost my motivation and stopped working out gained most of it back now teetering at 300 again :td, but I will do it again and I will get to my goal (275lbs)....then continue from there.....I just set a realistic goal to start with.

Mickey, looking forward to keeping track of your progress with you.
I slacked this past couple of weeks. I did do some cardio. Ate like crap. I probably gained some back.
Started back at it yesterday. Weigh in tomorrow, then more working out before the dentist. So, I'll let you know how bad it is.

I just set a realistic goal to start with.
One of the best things you can do. I was like you. Started around the 300lb mark and thought I could lose just 50lbs and carry it well. The time came I hit 250 and I still didn't like the way I looked. So I set a new goal of 225, then 200, then 190. Now I'm at the 183-185lb mark and figure this is good. I still have some fat to lose, but want to put on muscle. So as long as it all evens out in the end I'll be happy.
Don't get discouraged if you do put on a few lbs, or only losing a 1lb in a week after hitting the cardio hard. I went through that too. Your body will rebel at times and hold onto a bit of extra weight. Remember, it's used to being at a certain weight and you're now upsetting that balance. Just as long as you keep going in the right direction you're doing good.

After missing last week's weigh-in, I weighed in this week.
Another pound lost.
269.2. Officially back in the 260's. I celebrated by getting a Dr Pepper and a sausage McMuffin...LOL
Jasonw560
03-28-2012, 07:46 AM
Well, last week I had gained 3.2 pounds, due to the crap food at the Livestock Show, and it being Spring Break, with my wife and I not wanting to cook. So, I was at 272.8.
Weighed in today, lost 2.6 of that. Back to 270.2.
Off to ride my bike, then work on my chest and back....
