My Sgt. just came back from Vegas and dropped a Casa Fuente on me from the shop in Ceasar's Palace, is it a house blend for the shop? Thanks

Those are a better Opus in my opinion! They are a blend just rolled for their shop there and sometimes they have them for special events around the country. That is rare though.

I have a box of robustos and a box of corona gordas from my last 2 trips to Vegas. I ration them out as they are that yummy!!!!

Sweet, thanks Eric, this is a Corona Gordo I guess, bigger than a robusto, looks like a toro, cedar wrapped with an orange ribbon on the foot :tu

Yes that's it! They are a super premium just like you would consider Opus and just as if not more expensive!

I'm with Eric...far better than the Opus IMHO. First one I had tasted like fresh cream...:dr :dr :dr

They are pretty amazing smokes if you enjoy the Fuente profile. They are worth the splurge at 20-100 bucks a stick for the experience but I don't know about revisiting them regularly. I tend to buy one to two a year to either smoke or gift to those who REALLY enjoy the Opus and Fuente lines.

Very cool, I do like alot of the Fuente line and did like the one Opus I had, looking forward to this, pretty nice gesture from my boss, he said he smoked a few while in Vegas :tu

When I go to Vegas I always have to stop into Casa Fuente and enjoy the ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL women in cheese cloth serving me Mojitos and lighting my cigars. The experience alone is worth the trip, the smokes are just an added bonus.

The Casa Fuente cigars are very good, not my taste anymore, but well worth a try.

They are Opus X binder and filler with a Cammie wrapper...the wrapper lightens and sweetens up the profile quite a bit (depending on vitola) and they are usually more creamy as well...

I prefer just about any CF to the same Opus X Vitola...

They are horrible cigars. I will give you 5 Macanudos for your 1 Casa Fuente, just to save you from smoking such a bad cigar.
Your Welcome :)

Same here. I have been to Vegas a few times.. All before I got into cigars. Never even seen the place. I do need to get there.

Come down to Medford, catch a flight from Allegiant for cheap.. Lets go!

I agree with you that they are better than an Opus. I too have a box of the robustos and corona gordas from my last trip to Vegas and also ration them as I will probably never have the opportunity to go there again. Yes they are "that yummy".

Great cigar. Just spendy. But that's Vegas for ya. It's worth it though.

Going to Vegas in March and I'm gonna definitely buy 1 or 2.

I'm clearly in the minority here but when I was in Vegas last summer I tried my first Casa Fuente and was utterly disappointed. Even more so I was unimpressed with the upkeep of their walk in humidor. Lots and lots of cigars had minor damage to them and looked as tho they were thrown about in there. The selection was slim pickings too.

I did however very much enjoy the scenery, the mojitos and sangria's. The place was booming and made good convo with other BOTL's.

After reading all of these posts, I must have just gotten a dud cigar. When I make my annual trip there this summer I'll give Casa's another chance.

I honestly thought I was the only one who felt this way upon trying their blend where I had stopped half way. But I do agree that it's a beautiful lounge/bar...but since I had a yard stick, wasn't allowed to sit down to smoke there.

So my brother is heading out to Vegas in a few weeks and I asked him to pick me up some sticks from Casa Fuente. He doesn't know **** from granola when it comes to cigars, so explaining to him what I want has been rather difficult to say the least :r
Anyways, has anyone been there recently? Are the prices for CFs still in the $20-30 range? From what I understand the lancero is the best of the line but its rarely in stock. Also, I heard they always carry DC lanceros but you can only buy 2 at a time. My budget is $200 - what do you guys suggest I ask him to get me?

Yeah I've heard a lot of great things about them and I'm eager to get my hands on some. Hopefully they have a sampler with each vitola or something he can pick up. Otherwise I'm gonna have to tell him to surprise me...and probably end up with a bunch of cheap curlyheads :bh

They do have a sampler (at least they used to) with 5 or 6 of the CF vitolas. That might be the easiest thing to tell him to look for. When I was there about a year ago, the guy running the humi was very helpful and friendly.

Fuente is one of those brands that live up to the price point (MSRP). Padron, La Aurora and Drew Estates do as well.

That's good to know! Guess I'll tell him to keep his eyes peeled for that. Thanks for the info.

Just back from a stop at Casa Fuente.... I had plans to smoke something & have a mojito, but getting there....it just didn't work for me. Think I would have been better if I would have been with friends? I walked through the humidor, then hit the road. Very nice staff. Place was smaller than I imagined.
