I picked up a Brickhouse Robusto from my B&M and I'm kind of on the fence. It was very light bodied and medium strength. It had some really great flavor towards the second half, but it was somewhat muted. I think if it were full bodied, it would have the makings of a great cigar at a great value.
I was reading the few reviews that CI had on them and it got really good reviews, plus it scored high by Cigar Aficianado. One guy mentioned that his box was somewhat inconsistent. The ones that were great were really great, but some were very mild while others were pretty strong.
I may try a few more singles before commiting to a box, but I'm curious if others have smoked these, and if so, what were your impressions?

I have smoked at least 6 and budget wise they aren't bad. pick up 2 next time and rest one for a month before you smoke and see if it changed the flavor.

I have smoked a few of them, very good smoke for the price. I may even one day pull the trigger on a box. med-mild smoke to me.

I enjoy them and have bought a couple of boxes.
Classic Corona Larga is my favorite!
Try a few other vitola before you make up your mind.:2

Very good sticks for the price.

They are great for the price tag, very high quality.
Honestly I would rather smoke a Omar Ortez but these are a nice change of pace.
I sent a 5r to the troops, I think they are great for troop sticks.
The couple that I smoked where fairly muted in flavor as well, but still pretty enjoyable.

I do enjoy these. I will shorty pick up a box when the cooler gets low.

When these first came out, the ones that I got (robustos) were medium-full and full of flavor. I bought a box (Corona Largas) about a year ago and I've noticed some inconsistencies as well. I smoked one last week and it started un-rolling a bit from the head and foot as well as being quite muted in flavor. I'll smoke another one tonight and see what's up.

Pretty good cigar for the price. The hype at local shops and online were kind of a turn off for me though.

Brickhouse is similar to La Traviata. The consistency is not always the best. Some have nicer wrapper than others. Look for one with a oily, dark brown wrapper.

I bought a box and really enjoyed them. Great change of pace from my regular ass kickers, and for the price, you can't go wrong. CAYP had them very cheap.

I had one when they were released. Interestingly enough it tasted like brussel sprouts and asparagus the whole way. I'm not a big fan of greens in my cigars. I haven't had one since.

I'll second this. Not one of my go to's but a nice change of pace. And I got mine from CAYP.

Yeah I think at one time I entered a price of $74 for a box of the toro's before I backed off. They accepted it. Cheap for 25 smokes.

Smoked a few of the robustos since my review here

The second half always seems to be better than the first, not sure why. Still a great value, although I favor medium bodied cigars.

I really like Brickhouse, have to agree with their advertising too "5 bucks and a comfortable chair."
Picked up a box of Corona Larga for about $74. So far the few that I have smoked were good and for 3 bucks a piece I couldn't have gone wrong.

I bought a couple a few months back, smoked the first one right away and wasn't overly impressed. Have had the other in the humi since, might be a good way to bring in the New Year. Will let you know if it has changed much.

I was turned on to them - mostly because of the price - by my local cigar shop. I liked that they were more affordable than what I had been smoking and saw they had a very good review in Cigar Aficionado. The first couple I had weren't noteable by any means, but over time I developed a taste for them and will occasionally buy a couple to keep in my humidor at home. I have a couple in there right now and am interested in finding out how they taste after they've married a bit with my other cigars. Definately not my top choice cigar, but definitely a "go-to" now and again.

I wasn't that impressed. The few I have had started out really good and then turned harsh.. That being said I'm sure it won't be the last that I smoke

Did you smoke one of these, Dan? I'm curious to hear your impressions.

I just smoked my second robusto and this one was spot on. Delicious cigar and I only paid $4.60. Awesome!

I had one that sat for a while. Good smoke. I bought one for a golf trip, smoked it the day I bought it.. Still good but not like it should have been.

I smoked another one (Corona) over the weekend and it was much better than my last one. It seems weird that a Fuente stick would exhibit such inconsistencies in construction.

My guess is that they are rolled by the less experienced torcedors while they work to improve.
As for construction, the two I smoked were excellent. The first was just overly mild.
My local shop suggested these so I picked up a toro and I really, really enjoyed it.
A couple weeks later I was in the shop and picked up a robusto and I couldn't even finish it. Just a horrible tasting piece of ****.
The next time I was there I picked up another toro and all was good in the world. These have easily become my favorite stick, but only in toro size. I've got a couple boxes aging in the coolidor and another half box or so in my desktop humidor.
