I was in the garage, enjoying a smoke and a drink while browsing the wed on the laptop. Mouse on the right side, along with my glass, ashtray and cigar on the left. I swing my hand, right hand over, for.... I can't even remember.

Splash! :jd There goes my drink! ALL OVER THE KEY PAD RIGHT SIDE OF THE LAPTOP KEYBOARD! :bhd

Ultimate party foul. I immediately turn it off, Grab the aiur compressor and blow it out for a good 15 minutes.

Seems to be working good for now.. Little sticky.

I always make sure my drink is on a completely different table than my laptop when smoking. I also try not to ash on it either. Oh well, stuff happens! Atleast it hasn't been permanently damaged!

hate it when stuff like that happens. at least you didn't ash in your whisky with a one inch or bigger ash. makes the whisky taste funny.

this is something I learned from drafting class. Always have liquids at a lower level than your working surface!

You did it intentionally (subconciously) because you want a new laptop :)
Was the system a little tipsy when it booted up? :al

The laptop isn't even 5 months old... But I could always use a new one.

The laptop isn't even 5 months old...That means it is obsolete!

Denatured alcohol is used for cleaning electronics and will do a good job on getting rid of the sticky sugar leftovers from spills like that. It dries fast and without leaving mineral deposits like water will.

It's cheap and can be found at most home improvement stores.

PEBKAC

problem exists between keyboard and chair. It's geek-speek. ;s

Not as offensive to the end use as an I.D. ten T error... :D

I know the I.D. ten T error.. My dad works on comps and I have been around them and the grammer for a while now.

Yes, I was the problem..

I'd look at the loose nut behind the keyboard if it was me...:D
