It is pork, I watched a show on BBQ this weekend and they make it just like their chicken nuggets. They shred the pork then re-mold it to look like ribs, yummy.

I have had this once and could not bring myself to eat more than one bite. It is bad.

Shredding pork and pressing it into a mold to make it look like pork, isn't pork (IMO).;s:r
But it is still:dr

When I was in the Navy, we operated out of Holy Loch, Scotland. At the fish and chips joint, they had BBQ rib patties that they then coated in batter and deep fried. :dr

I truly do not understand the appeal of the McRib. I do find everyone's fascination with it kind of amusing though

We have had them in the KC metro area for the last couple of weeks so you might be able to still grab one Ferdie.

Mel Brooks reference, from "History of the World, PT 1"......the response line is kinda what I think about the McRib.

I had one last week. It was mighty tasty, but I had to pull the pickles off if it. I don't understand why they think they need to put pickles on every sandwich they create lol!

I pass by the new 4Rivers Smoke house by us Larry and the line wraps around the building every day. I've been in several times for the brisket.

I'm embarrased to admit, I passed by it the other day and grabbed a McRib.

Lots of classics from that movie, like "once a king always a king. once a knight, is never enough."

HHmmm....I kinda noticed a trend here. Generally:

Northerners- For the McRib.
Southerners- Against the putrid piece of spoiled roadkill in fake sauce.

Not many options for GOOD ribs in the north. Most chain restaurants try to make them, but fail to produce (IMO). The McRib is a pretty decent alternative.

Some of us down here may have to package up a couple of slabs in a one-rate box and point them north one of these days... :D
