I have to say that beginning to move what I have left of a collection to a single 100 count desktop isn't the most inspiring thing I've undertaken in resent times. It'll take no time at all to fill this puny thing. Then what am I supposed to do???

No...I really need to downsize what I have. Depending on how quickly my EdgeStar sells, I'll invest in a handful of Boveda paks and use freezer size ziplok bags until I can sell down the overflow. It's funny though. I can remember when I ordered my first "decent" cutter and a triple jet lighter online, and asking myself "Do you think you'll be serious enough about cigars to actually need a good cutter and a special lighter...?" :r

Is it to forward to ask why you're scaling back?

Nope...I'm on SSDI now. Which amounts to $700 less per month (take home) than what I was getting through unemployment. Which was $1000 less per month (take home) than what I was getting when I was working. I haven't been able to crunch the numbers so that I come out with anything workable. Basically...my income went from about $60K a year to about $17,500
I've managed "ok" up until now by selling off bits and pieces of my collection. I'm having difficulty enjoying cigars as much lately, with financial and medical problems looming over my head. So while I feel queezy sorting through what I'm going to keep and what get's let go...I know I'm making the next right decision. That's all I can do for today. I'll deal with tomorrow once it gets here...
Cooler for certain!!! Best Bang for your Buck!

That is unfortunate. This job market and economy is hurting so many people. Hopefully things will turn around for you soon.
If I had the funds, I'd buy your vino. It's something I'm considering for 2012.

A cooler would be best, you can find one for cheap enough. How much are you wanting to keep?

Sorry to hear about the financial situation, Walt, it just seems to be effecting more and more of our friends.

I am there with you Walt. My wife being out of work for the last few months has given me a taste of what you must be going through. I was planning on getting a winedor before she had her surgery but after what happened I went with a cooler. I haven't had to sell any smokes but haven't been able to make many purchases. Good luck with your situation, I wish you the best brother!

quit smoking?
Is that a question or a suggestion? For all intensive purposes I'm just holding onto a few choice sticks for when others come around. I'm not complaining about my situation at all. Financially...the SSDI decision was my own, though strongly suggested by my doctors. It doesn't mean I'm happy about it though...
