I am going to say Cards in 5.

Hate to say it but Cards in 6. They are on a tear right now. Reminds me of the Packers from last year. Hard to beat a team that feels like it's their destiny to win it all.

Hard to beat a team that feels like it's their destiny to win it all.

Kinda like the Patriots who had the perfect season back in 2007? When the Giants blanked them 19-0 in the Super Bowl?

Both teams are on a tear. Cruz is a beast, Michael Young has found his swing. If Hamilton gets hot, watch out. Not a bad bat in the bunch.

If CJ is on, Rangers in 5.

If CJ is off, Rangers in 6.

This was really a good game. Since I have no team involved, I can sit back, relax and enjoy them play without being a nervous wreck. I hope it goes to 7 with nothing but 1 run games and a couple going into extra innings.:)

St. Louis failed tonight. Disappointing. Why does it seem like every sports team I cheer for loses? You guys want to see a team lose just PM me who and I will watch, cheer, and guarantee that team will lose.

The nights I haven't watched the World Series, St. Louis wins. I am not watching the last two games.

elderboy02

Brandon Phillips was right when he said that the Cardinals are bit**es. Carpenter complained in Cincy that the smoke from the fireworks got in his eyes and the mound wasn't groomed right, Arroyo was supposedly cheating with pine tar on his hat, the balls weren't rubbed right, they didn't want to play in the big bad rain... blah blah blah.

Last night LaRussa was blaming the crowd for making too much noise as the reason for the bullpen mixup.

Give it a break Cardinals!

Have to say I'm not a big fan of starting Carp on short rest tonight. But then again, he is our horse. Should be another fun one. 24-21 is probably about right. As much as I hate to say it, I hope all of the Rangers are healthy so we can beat their best...okay maybe not Napoli.

I'm realizing a big factor in this series has been Mark McGwire as the cards hitting coach. They are not swinging for any junk pitches and really making every at-bat count.

LaRussa will likely pick a player who just won a World Series for his team. LaRussa is a homer, kind of like Reds fans. And Johnny Bench is great, but there is a debate whether he is the best of all-time too. Yogi Berra was pretty daggum good and lest we forget Mike Piazza is in the discussion as well. ;)
