CigarSquid

I am having trouble identify some cigars I had bought from a member here. I have Google'd them, and can't find what I am looking for.

I am trying to put them in my app to keep track.

I am working on a pic now. I know a few I have seen online, But... I am waiting on a chart to help me narrow the gauge and length down

The two on the top right are "El Originals", the house blend from the Island Smoke Shop in the Florida Keys where Bill (madurofan) manages.

Gonna go out on a limb here and say "ask the person you bought them from".

;s

Did Tom cover it, or were there others in the photo you couldn't ID?

I think I barely skimmed the surface, Adam. :r

I just wanted to be sure (and be a smartass).

Gimmie a minute to type something up. I can ID at least half of what's in the photo.

#3, 10, 11,13 and 16 I can't really see well enough in this photo due to flash reflection or poor angle to tell if I can even recognize them.

1. Indian Tabac LTD Reserve
2. Nat Sherman Metropolitan series maduro (the naturals have blue bands - maduro = red band)
3. ?
4. Looks like it might be an old Taboo Twist from before they started banding them
5. La Unica, made by Fuente.
6. Tom covered this
7. H. Upmann (non-cuban) "regular line"
8. Indian Tabac Maduro
9. La Unica by Fuente
10. ?
11. ?
12. Blue Label by Gran Habano (I think this is a CI exclusive)
13. ?
14. Cenfuego by Puros Indios
15. Pryme by Alec-Bradley, these were discontinued probably 5 years ago, maybe longer.
16. ? is that a Dodge Viper logo?
17. Cupido by Cuban Crafters. Can't tell if it's new production or the ones from 8 years ago.

Hope that helps some.

Yes it is a Dodge Viper logo...

Thanks a bunch.. I will get some better pics of those here shortly. Maybe tomorrow.

Really appreciate the time you put in to that for me.

I think you nailed 16.

No problem.

The Dodge Viper cigar is probably a promo cigar of some sort and if so, it could be anything, made by just about anybody, quite possibly someone / some factory that no one has heard of.

Chrysler has had a subtle passing love affair with cigars over the years. I know that the Crossfire had a factory option for a humidor in the center console, as a friend of mine has one. It came complete with a Crossfire branded lighter (can't remember who made it) and a Crossfire branded Xikar Xi series cutter, and it might have even come with some cigars (not 100% sure on the cigars though). And I vaguely recall them offering other cigar type options for other vehicles. Maybe they made a similar humidor option for the Vipers. :sh

Wow. Never knew that. Pretty cool though.

11. Mi Dominicana Cigar (http://www.jrcigars.com/index.cfm?page=cigars&brand=mi%20dominicana)

Any clues on the last few? What do they say on the bands?

The Crossfire humidors are kind of rare, which is a shame because they are gorgeous, and they don't look like a marketing department afterthought option, they look like they were always meant to be there. They have the same lines, ridges and logos as the vehicle.

Looks like the lighter was by Prometheus.

Anyway, back to the thread at hand now...

BTW, on the La Unica ciars, the number on the band corresponds to the series, ie: a "300" = La Unica Cabinet No. 300.

I think I had one of them before.. I can't remember. That is why I have the app and put them in. It allows me to rate them, comment on them, see what I have had and all that good stuff.

The Royal Nicaraguan is a Jesus Fuego bundle I believe http://www.famous-smoke.com/brand/royal+nicaraguan+colorado+cigars although the bands look a little different in the pictures.

The one Garry has says "oscuro" in small print, versus the Colorado / Criollo on the ones at Famous, so I'd guess they probably just use different color bands for the different capas (wrappers).

They have nailed these Garry. Just received your PM, but the fellas here have nailed it. The only other cigar is #3 and they are craftman's Choice if I remember correctly. They are nice, MILD cigars that are great to enjoy around the yard!

Enjoy!
