Wow... I have issues. If anybody knows of a good addiction counselor, please forward their contact info!!

Ok, I was home with a sick kid yesterday, and there wasn't much to do other than plan on CA and look at cigars. Unfortunately, my wife didn't take my wallet with her because I started bidding and WINNING cigar lots. Seriously, I might be grounded because I just doubled my cigar inventory.

Padilla Achilles Salomon - 10 Cigars
5 Vegas Gold Maduro Toro - 5 Cigars
Gran Habano Blend #3 Gran Robusto - Box of 20

The first part to recovery is admitting you have a problem... and some Inmates aren't at that point! lol

I don't have a problem. Yesterday I got home from work and then the next thing I know I am staring at a NHC order confirmation for three 5ers. I think I blacked out.......

Hahah I stared at NHC's website with those amazing looking surrogates in my shopping cart for like an hour. I was good and didn't pull the trigger...

...yet.

You know what is funny?
I get in trouble with the wife if I spend money on cigars right now becasue things are tight but when I tell her I almost did but maintained a level head I don't get rewarded! It's a lose/lose situation. If I just buy them it is win/lose becasue she becomes mad but I get the cigars. So how am I supposed to function?

The first step is to admit you have a problem. Now its time for treatment.
The second step is to separate yourself from the issue. So send me all your cigars.
The third step is to prevent yourself from buying more. So send me your Credit Cards.
The fourth step??? Who cares, I got your cigars and credit card.

GOOD LUCK BROTHER!!!!

Oh...I've got a problem alright! I even stopped by my B&M store today just to buy some empty boxes for my coolidor project. I couldn't help myself...I had to pick up a couple of sticks while I was there! HELP ME!

All you people say is I have a problem...the real problem is the wife who keeps the cigar budget next to non-existent. I fixed that problem in my life and now I don't spend money on women anymore...just cigars :D

No offense to those who are happily married. :)

It's not the cigars that is the underlaying problem....it's the Devil site (c-bid) (http://www.cigarbid.com/) it just grabs you. The only thing that works is cold turkey, Shred the Credit Cards, and take all access to money out of your hands.

We have all been there, and done it. My prayers and best wishes on managing your problem

oh I made that reference to the devil site a quick link---mustn't break off too quickly.....Brou...waawugh....ha ha ha ha(evil laugh)

Nice push further down the slope.:sl:noon:gary

No not mine. Our friend Richard(tzaddi) brought the cigars and his pipes, espresso maker with portable stove, rum and I'm sure a few other goodies. I did not mean to imply you were an amateur, only to show that this "hobby" knows no bounds. :tu

LOL... How did you know that it was Cbid? It seems pretty innocent at first until you start bidding and winning stuff! "Oh...that's a great deal! I think that I'll bid on that!"

I am so screwed... :<

Nick,
Been there and done that brother...when I first got back into cigars in '07 someone on the old site "Club Stogie" introduced me to the devil site. I had 2 Vino temps, a 300 ct humi, a 150 ct humi, a 75 ct, a 40 qt cool-idor, and a 120 qt cool-idor.......ALL full......The only thing that saved me was........well I guess nothing saved me.

If I have available funds, nine times out of ten they get spent on cigars. If I don't I have a firm rule that I can only charge one box at a time; I can't charge another until I've payed off the first box. Given the price of cigars and the eternal urge to buy, amassing unwieldy credit card debt is all too possible for lovers of the leaf.

Well Nick you were an inadvertent "enabler" by coming on and asking for "counseling"---HA ! ! !---Like you're really gonna get that here.

This is my damage since you started your little story.

La Aurora 2nds Bristol Especiale (15) -- 2
5 Vegas Relic Perfecto - 10 Cigars -- 1
Rubberized Punch Cutter - 2-Pak -- 1
Havana Classico Pequeno(5) -- 2 Actually these are not a bad smoke-long filler and ugly as sin, but good flavor.
Oliva Serie 'G' Special G (48) -- Box

Thanks for the help! :bhd :lr
