View Full Version : Laser hair removal?

I've fought really bad bumps on my neck for years. Tried lots of different things and it still happens. Bottom line is I can only go about every other day or risk breaking out on my neck. A groupon deal came up for 6 visits for $99 with neck as one of the spots.

I know, sounds like an anti-man card move, but worth a shot I guess. It just drives me crazy.

Threads you thought you would never see...

[/BallBusting]

Mrs.RodgersCPA had laser hair removal for under her arms about 7-8 years ago, and she has been very happy with the results.

If it improves your quality of life, then go for it, just don't tell anybody (unless it's too late for that)

Sounds kind of expensive to me Duane, but whatever floats your boat....do it.

Mrs.RodgersCPA spent quite a bit more for her treatments, IIRC.

That's doing a Groupon purchase. The "regular" price is $1,350 according to their price list.

Can we move this to the fetish section?

Alright I'm going to tackle this one. This post has me going to the liquor store for sure. :r

My memory on this is a bit poor I'll admit so bare with me....I was probably about 10 at the time.

As a kid I was on my way to a pretty decent unibrow and a ridiculous amount of hair on the back of my neck (too low for normal and far too much). So one random day my parents said "hey that $hit isn't supposed to be there, want it lasered off?".

So I went, I mean what's to lose. Frankly I was too young to give a $hit or even notice anyways. Far too busy playing Diablo and Starcraft.

I must have went to about 6-10 treatments.

The results, well I certainly don't have a unibrow or even close. Don't get me wrong it didn't 100% work. Same thing with the back of my neck, now it's just a normal amount of hair. I would say 85% of the hair between my eyebrows is gone and probably 50% on my neck. Normal for both, but not gone.

My thoughts, with that amount of treatments I would venture you will get probably 50-75% success. Although the technology could be much better so your results might be better.

Don't expect 100% success with that amount of treatments. That said, with twice as many....you might get 90-100%. But that would be merely speculation.

My advice think about the cost and if you're happy with 50% results do it. You could get more but if you expect the least and are okay with it....do it.

:2

Now I'm going to get into a fight with a bottle of bourbon.

Are the areas you can have done unlimited? I could do some serious manscaping. Maybe the Blackhawks logo or something.

I say go for it. I had two of my girlfriends do it and they are glad they did.

I say go for it! Let your vanity wave its flag. I am sure you've spent more on less before.

They have "small" and "large" areas. The small areas are 6 treatments for $99 and the large areas are $299. Their site says they guarantee it, so it's worth a shot. It's a groupon special and they claim a small area alone is "regularly" priced at $1,350. They claim once you get one spot done, you'll want more and is the reason for the special so they can get more business at full price.

So, I can have my large area manscaped for $299, or I can have Earl Schieb paint that sucker for $99.99. :hm

So, you are saying I have a chance at happiness and silken skinned metrosexuality rather than the sad, sad life I live now?

If the bumps bother you when you shave, have it lasered. If I had that problem, I sure would!

You may also consider your condition a hint from the powers that be. Grow a beard/scarf/muffler/neck/backsweater to please them.

The paint's cheap, brother. Needs almost daily polishing. Not that that's a bad thing. ;) :D
