I would like to know from the inmates here what they find to be their most favorable Lenght and Ring Gauge.

Ill be going to the Dominican Republic for the holidays and when I get back Ill draw a random number. Whoever has that numbers post will get a 5er.

Andy

I tried to add a poll but I was to slow =( it only gives 5 min and I was thinking of the options... Any mods able to assist?

For Example, MINE are

6 x 48

For NC's I love the robusto format, for CC's I like something in a 6x42-46 rg. I've been getting more into CC's lately and I have found that the slimmer smokes give you every bit the flavor the larger NC's do.

Something around 50rg and 5.5 inches.... also enjoy the 42x5.5-6's.

I mostly enjoy the torpedos during warmer weather but when it gets cold a robusto or lancero has to come out.

I probably smoke more robustos than anything else, although my favorite cigars are in the smaller RGs (44-48.)

Right now it's PCs.

my preference would be a robusto, or wavell size. however I recently discovered lanceros and really enjoy that vitola.

Also, coronas and petit coronas will always have a place in my humi (espically CC) because of our cold winters and lack of an enclosed smoking area. PCs give a nice quick smoke.

Corona or Corona Gorda

4 x 46

Easily the best size for those of us who are always on the move and don't have a chance to sit down for a longer smoke - the plus side is you get a LOT more of the wrapper flavor than in a standard robusto (5x50) or rothschild (4.5x50)

5 x 50-56 for non-CC's. I like the corona and petit corona size for CC's.

I have recently discovered lancero's and I am looking for more in this vitola. For cc's I like the corona's and PC's. For the longest time I smoked the larger ring gauge cigars, but I am trending smaller ring gauge now.

Corona, Corona Gorda, Robusto - right around those sizes is the time I like to spend on a cigar. Churchills and big Toros are usually longer than I feel like any one stick, but I'll deal with them.

I also get on kicks when I want an extreme ring gauge - either a lancero, or something big, 54+ but those times are rare.

i'm liking the petite coronas or lanceros more and more, so i'm gonna say

5 x 46

Mine would be Corona Gorda 5 3/4 X46

Ditto... I love the smaller stuff RG wise... as for length I am not too picky unless I have a shorter amount of time and need a shorter smoke.

I love Perfectos (any size) and Lanceros!!!

I haven't seen Perfecto mentioned yet, so that is my vote!!!

Robusto in a larger RG, Corona in a smaller RG.

Torpedo (figurado) about 6.5"x 52. The most skilled rollers usually are put to work on this particular shape, and I'm not a big fan of a very loose draw. With a torpedo, it's quite easy to start with a very small cut, and if not sufficient, take a lil more off for better draw :tu

Most often I smoke smaller 46 or lower rg. But my favorite size would probably be a Salamones or Diademas. Just something old school and decadent about smoking a monster stick like that.

I like robustos and many other shapes, but my favourite stick is still Monte #4, so I'll go with 5x42.

Thanks for the contest and enjoy your trip.

Currently I really enjoy robusto and corona sized sticks. But then again, some cigars I prefer as a lancero (Oliva V for example). Still, I do enjoy sitting down with a larger cigar sometimes (esp when I have the time).

Can't I just say that I like them all?

I started smoking robustos, but now I find them a bit too small. I now prefer a toro or a beli, but I still wouldn't turn down a good smoke, no matter what the size. I do have a few high end petite coronas in my humi that I really do want to try. I'll let you know how I like that size when I light 'em up. :ss

I think the 6 x 52 torpedo would also be one of my more prefered sizes. I have always found a more favorable draw on the torpedo caps.

I tend to prefer robustos and corona gordas, with torpedos and toros a close second -- probably because I rarely get enough time to relax with a churchill.

I have noticed that many inmates who have done more time than I seem to enjoy the lancero vitola; I need to check that out.
