My daughter is off to college soon....last Sunday dinner together tonite (in NJ with Mac, Dom, Keith, T-Bone, eric F et al next Sunday)....she said she wanted paella...never disappoint my baby girl...
Shrimp, chicken, clams and Portuguese chorizo....Gotta say, damn tasty!

Looks fantastic WITH the peas!!! I have been wanting to try this but haven't had the "kahoonas". For some reason it intimidates me and I don't have a Paella pan. Have to do some research. Thanks for sharing. Steve

Love making Paella, but my wife never lets me put clams in it. That looks pretty damn good.

Steve, don't worry about a paella pan, just use a regular fry pan. It'll work well enough.

Agreed, I have a paella pan but usually just make it for my wife and I and a fry pan works just fine.

I like either clams or mussels both for the visual appeal but also for the flavor imparted when they open and the "liquor" comes out to add some flavor depth to the rice....
I use the paella pan 'cause I have it, but really just need a large bottom surface area and shallow sides...
