Now I'm not talking about a full meal, but today me and a friend were enjoying some cigars, and I walked past a bag of banana chips, looked good, so I took them out. Man did those go great with my 8-5-8! I would just grab one occasionally.

What about everyone else? Anyone have a go to munchie while smoking?

Chocolate, nuts, and cookies are all great with a smoke.

I've actually enjoyed a cigar with a full meal- it just has to be the right kind of pairing. I've had success with English pub fare (fish and chips, etc.) and ale.

Bacon Explosion, at Shack, with pretty much any cigar. Sorry guys I've got Shack Herf on the brain.

Not a fan of eating and smoking -- I find that a cigar with or immediately after any food intake just isn't flavorful at best and downright nasty at worst. The exception? Chocolate.

I feel the same way about most beverages and cigars too.

If you haven't had chocolate cake and nicaraguan coffee with an Oliva Blue Band O, you haven't lived. ;)

I like cigars, I like eating, I like drinking...how could they not go well together? That said, definitely depends on what you are eating or drinking.

Don't laugh... when I first started, I was smoking an Erin go Bragh. We had a bowl of jelly beans on the table, so I grabbed a handful. Damn, that was a good pairing.

Chocolate cake and coffee goes with almost anything, before - after - during. It's a combination of the age's!

Steak, lobster, Lake Erie perch, BBQ, brats, burgers, oysters, clams....I've had at all. When the food is ready, and the cigars is good and only half done...well, I ain't putting it out. ;)

I don't mind snacking on something while smoking a cigar. Though I don't usually like to eat something too sweet or too spicy/peppery cuz I rather taste the cigar more than the food.

Lounge I go to has a yummy snack mix but it's a little too spicy. Then again, it depends on the cigar sometimes. If I have a creamy smooth light cigar, I might eat some of the mix just to offset it. But again, I'd rather taste the cigar than food.

I should get more into chocolate. Had some with a cigar last weekend and it went great with it.

I've tried this after another thread on here told me how great it was. Not for me. I'll eat during eating time, and smoke before and/or after.

This.

One of my fondest experiences was burning an 08 CoLa and half way through eating a rare cheeseburger at the same time. :dr

Delicious.

I've always liked eating while I smoke, even when I smoked cigarettes.

I've had full meals - steak and all the trimmings - at El Gaucho and enjoyed every minute of it. Just need to make sure that your table has enough room for ashtrays :)

I like to drink with my cigars, coffee, root beer, bourbon or whatever, as it seems to add to the taste experience. Sometimes even water is nice. With food, however, I've always found I don't get the full experience either out of the food or the cigar, taking away the enjoyment from both at least a little. For me, a good cigar with a drink either before food or after, but not during.

I eat and smoke while herfin' but not alone in my garage with the dog. Wait, I guess that's not really alone. Anyway, we've always got a ton of food at the herfs and it's hard not to graze with all the great stuff around all day.

Now if Tom tells me he's smoked while eating lobster while getting, ah, 'serviced' I'm going to be pretty impressed. That's like the trifecta of manliness right there. :r

Chocolate for sure.

There are companies that enevn make packs to pair with different cigars. The prices I saw are insane...

i see a difference between grazing on snacks or something and sitting down to a full dinner. Snacks - sure. Full dinner at the same time as a cigar - nothx

Ya I don't like eating dinner and having smoke blown in my face that's why I'm for no smoking in restaurants but not for no smoking in bars...

Must run in the family, Pops ;)

While I don't prefer to eat and smoke I definitely do it. Whatever is cooking is good :tu I've done a tasting at a few ashton events where they give you chocolate, whisky, and walnuts to show how those foods can bring out different aspects of the cigar.

For myself, just snacks while smoking. My Gramps on the other hand would light 'something' as soon as his feet touched to floor in the morning, and have 'something' burning all day. He smoked cigs, cigars and pipe.
As far as drinks while smoking, that varies. Mostly water.

I couldn't do it when I smoked cigarettes and I don't even want to try it with a cigar.

My dad used to smoke cigarettes and drink milk :jd:tg:hn BLUCK!

Like other have said, if their is food to be eaten and I happen to be smoking, its game on. Bite, swallow, draw.

Classic Lays Potato Chips or theater popcorn to keep my palate in check when I have been smoking a lot of sticks in the same day.

It's actually very helpful but you do have to be careful on what you eat either before, during or after your cigar.-(P

I love eating nice dark chocoltae with a good smoke. Much more than that I feel competes too much not only with the cigars flavors, but the time spent puffing, screwing up my draw tempo.

I've found even snacking on something takes away from the cigar. Just a drink with my smoke.
