Here's a stunner. Prized free-agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha signs with the Eagles for five years and $60 million, $25M guaranteed. The Jets and the Cowboys were reportedly in the running for the former Raider.....Can you say Lombardi Trophy?....This gives the Birds 3 great cover corners, and with upgraded pass rush....I like it!

Wonder what they are going to do with 3 Pro Bowl corners... I expect Asante Samuel and his 5.9M 2011 salary is now on his way out? Anyway, think it was a nice move...

What I don't think was a nice move, bringing in Vince Young.

Lol, Vince Young. I'm guessing they got him for a handful of McDonald's coupons.
The "flirting with disaster to build a ballclub" thing only lasts so long, but the Eagles organization seems to have good luck and good heads in charge of the money.
The 3 cover corners situation kicks ass. Aside from finding a franchise QB, a good corner is the toughest thing to come by in the NFL. It leaves them lots of options.

Doesn't really matter, how many has your team won with the current group of players?

As a deeply devoted Oilers/Titans fan, you should expect ZERO from Vince Young. He is certifiably nuts.

Not saying he won't be capable of winning one or two games a season, but you DON'T have Randall Cunningham Reborn...

I am just glad he's out of the Titans' hair.

Congrats to the Beagles for winning the preseason Super Bowl. I grew up a Giants fan before the Pats were founded and hate the Eagles with the flame of a thousand suns and signing the gambler/dog killer last year did not help cure my hate. Hopefully everyone stays healthy but I hope that they finish dead last in their division.:gary

I was really hoping that the Bucs would have gone after Asomugha, but they seem to be sticking with building through the draft. Looks like we may have the youngest team in the NFL once again this year. Which is okay by me if they can manage to go at least 10-6 again.

I have a great dislike for the Eagles as well after all those times they knocked the Bucs out of the playoffs. At least my Buccaneers have the honorable distinction of stomping the Eagles in their last game at the Vet and their first regular season game at the Linc.

September 8, 2003: The Eagles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers competed on Monday Night Football in the first regular-season NFL game at Lincoln Financial Field. The game was referenced as the “Inaugural Game” at Lincoln Financial Field. The Buccaneers defeated the Eagles 17–0 in their new home, the same as they did in the Eagles' final game in Veterans Stadium, 27–10.

As a Redskins' fan, I'm worried about what Philly is putting together this off-season, especially with 3 cover corners assuming Samuel sticks around. Not that the Skins have a QB who can actually throw the ball well, but I digress.

On the other hand, the Eagles rank 3rd on my “Most Hated Opponents in the Division” roster, and I kind of admire what Andy Reid has done. Plus, I’ve always been a big fan of Vick & Westbrook, so good for them. At least I'll enjoy watching them kick the snot out of Dallas & the Giants, if everything plays out the way you want it to.

I like that it pisses of Giants fans. I don't like that they made this move as oppose to paying DJack. 4Mil with 2Mil guaranteed. They better make it right to with #10 sometime this year of he is gone as soon as he hits free agency.
