Got this recipe from my good buddy Rick (galaga).

He turned me on to this wonderful food site called Food Gawker (http://www.foodgawker.com)

I made them yesterday and tried one tonight.

Looks delicious.

Thanks for sharing the recipe. My grandmother used to make delicious homemade pickles when I was growing up, so seeing this recipe brought back great memories! :tu

Very easy to do.
I plan on experimenting with other veggies. And some hotter spices.

Sounds like a good recipe, similar to what I've switched to in the last year or so, but with less vinegar.

For spice, just add some dried crushed red peppers.

For other vegetables, check out Alton Brown's recipes for pickled baby carrots (I think he calls them firecrackers) and pickled cauliflower.

Here I am starting to harvest pickle cukes and I was just wondering how I was going to pickle them. This place never ceases to amaze me.
