Talented albeit troubled singer Amy Winehouse, 27, was found dead in her apartment by London police today. Tragic as it is, one cannot be surprised by this sad loss.

she tried hard to dope and drink herself to death for a few years now, she finally succeeded. Too bad, I would have loved to hear another album or two and maybe see her preform live in concert once more.

Crying shame. The sad part is she knew she had a problem and chose not to work on it. May she rest in peace.

I borrowed that for my FB status. Only because it's true.

Didn't she sing that song "They tried to make me go to rehab but I said no, no, no"? A bit ironic now.

Hate to be a bit insensitive but anyone think that is more than a coincidence?
She had what 7 weeks before she wouldn't be 27?
Maybe decided she didnt' have anymore to give and wanted to go down with the rest of the legends.
Just a thought.

I liked her music.. And I kinda liked her. She may have been fit for a straight jacket but I dig that.

Her music was okay and from time to time I would listen. What a ugly and sad way to go out.

Ok, I'm going to be that guy!! Damn a year too late for my celeberty death pool!!! (I didn't play this year)
As said, it was inevitable for this to happen. But no one deserves to go so young.

She wasn't that bad looking before she started to dope up.

Can't believe her manager would let her go out and sing while drunk or stoned.

Another sad junkie bites the dust. Talent wise, I've farted better tunes than she could sing.

She had a unique voice back in the day, and was quite talented in the beginning..
And then she turned into a stone cold crackhead. Im not going to sit here and say "its a shame".. whatever..she CHOSE to do all that crap. She is just another junkie to kick the bucket now.. While there are people starving on the streets and blue collared people busting their ass to make a living, she wasted a privileged life and turned it to ****..

Hate to sound like an insensitive prick but I have a hard time feeling bad for these over privileged Hollywood types that literally have the world by the balls and because they feel sad or lonely decide to blow it all with stupidity especially when you kill yourself with drugs and alcohol.

I would check to see who won but that website is blocked at work :(

I agree 100%. U would think they would appreciate all
the good fortune, and maybe give something back, help some kids,
start a charity.
The least of the loss is we as music hounds, miss out on all
the music we will never hear from them, like SRV, Buddy Holly,
Janis Joplin, Doors. Charlie Parker, Lady Day.

What a shocker..... Never good for anyone to pass away but this was entirely preventable and her fault.
