View Full Version : Smoked a Gurkha today.

My first one. I was led to believe these are total dog rockets. While it ain't the greatest, it ain't the worst either. It's a Gurkha fuerte toro. Nothing that's making me pitch it early, but nothing to write home about either. There is, however, a slight chemical taste to it that isn't very appealing. Just showed up now. Will advise on if it goes away soon...

Lol. To update, I did pitch it shortly thereafter. The chemical taste got stronger, and it actually started unravelling on me.

The empire IVs are fairly good. Have to look up the pricing on them, but if they're around 6-7 bucks then Id say theyre worth it

I agree they aren't horrible, but the price to enjoyment ratio is not good. They are a $5 stick at most. They are not worth the premium that Gurkha demands. Years ago they were a decent stick. Unfortunately, K.H. got greedy, ala Rocky Patel, and everything went to ****.

The first run of the Beast and Titan were quite good. I actually have a couple of each with probably 5-6 years on them. Might fire one up this weekend.

I tried a bunch of them many years ago and for their price point they were to hit and miss with the hits just being tolerable and mediocre at best. I never understood the appeal of them but they do sell well at my local. I was given a Shaggy recently to try and have heard that this is the best offering from them but I have yet to be able to bring myself to smoke it.
