I had my last Palio stolen, and I know by whom :td. Anyway, Im need a new cutter. I have been using a decent steel one but its not really that sharp.

Im looking between the Palio, Xikar X8 and the Cuban Crafters perfect cut.

What do you use? Pro or cons to this or that?

Punch it!

So much neater, cleaner, less unraveling, more control over your draw, less sh-t to carry around.

For a cutter I always used my Lucienne double-guillotine. Love it. But like I said. I've fallen in love with punching.

Palio, cuts clean every time and the warranty is second to none

yeah I use a 223 round to do that. I like the punch but I feel as if it does allow as much smoke as I like to draw.

I like the touch with the .223, clever. Now I have to try it. No .223 for me though. Just a .22

.....for some reasons, cutters seem to trigger an almost religious discussion...:D

I have both a Palio and a Xikar and honestly.....they are six of one, half dozen of another; personal preference, I do believe. Trick here is to keep them clean. Wiping the blades down with some alcohol now and then is a must to keep them running well.

When it comes to punches, one tool that seems to get overlooked is the wonderful Victorinox Cigar Punch / Knife. (http://www.swissarmy.com/MultiTools/Pages/Product.aspx?category=sportsandleisure&product=54850) I have one and use it almost exclusively now. Three sizes of punch, a very sharp little pen knife for any "clean up" that may be required, and the little scissors clip bands perfectly...!!...:tu: I sure like mine; easy to recommend.

Cheers - B.B.S.

I thought Remo had more respect for himself then to steal other peoples cutters!

Anyways.. I voted for a palio, have not owned one but have heard great things about them :)

If it's your only cutter, than Palio is the one. I have been using a Xikar V cutter on smaller RG cigars and it works really well. :2

ID like to get a cheap v cutter to try them out. I just hate paying shipping on a 3 dollar cutter ya know? All my B&Ms around here suck BAD, very expensive and their sticks are gross looking.

X8 is nice for the money and cuts a larger RG. :2

I voted Palio as you do not have many options on the poll.

IMO though I punch everything...period. I only cut belicosos/Pirámides or anything else with that goofy pointed cap. For the price I like the Xikar scissors though.

MTX + 009 would be about the same price as a Palio. I say go with that.

It's interesting... I have both a Palio and a Xikar and both cut well -- in fact both cut much better than the average cutter and are well worth the extra money.

However, I end up using my Xikar much more because it fits in my hand better and I don't have to screw around with getting my fat stubby fingers in the holes... (I know, I know -- don't go there!).

So, I vote Xikar...
