Looks like they converted a TV lift. Very cool, but I wonder how well it works.

That looks cool and all but I'll be honest, I wouldn't want my humi that close to a fireplace :2

Seems like that would zap your RH depending on how often you opened it.

looks cool, but ...

The cool factor is high, but am I the only one who thinks it's an awful lot of work for what appears to be a relatively modest number of cigars?
And remember, I'm a cheap@$$ poorboy, and at times I'VE had more smokes! :r

That is a very cool humidor set up. I love to see how people come up with new ideas and think out side the box (humidor box for sure). :tu

Very cool design but bad location right near the fireplace. I wonder how much that cost and how well it keeps the humidity levels.

Cool, you bet. Practical, maybe not.
I have to wonder how well it holds RH. How well it recovers the RH from an open / close cycle. What happens to it if a box gets jammed sideways and hoses the whole thing up....
I'll keep my Staebell, thanks......:tu

If I were a betting man I would say it doesn't hold humidity worth a crap. Storage is also someone limited.
Neat idea but not practical in the least bit. I also would hate to wait 30 seconds every time I want to grab a cigar.
However I do like the choice in cigars, mmm Montecristo and Cohiba :dr

A neat idea but I can buy a lot of 120 qt coolers and cigars for what that cost

Agreed 100%

Very easy on the eyes, but you could build a heck of a walk-in for what that thing probably cost.

It would be cool to use a pressure plate or a laser trip wire so that when you are approaching the humidor, it will be fully extended by the time you get there. But if you have dogs, like me, the lift would be broke in a day or two for excess tripping lol.

That is really cool, but for the wow factor it should play the opening song from 2001 A Space Odyssey lol
Also here is a link to a humidor that I have always thought would be cool to own. Looks like a bank vault.

Pretty sweet. Beside the beautiful craftsmenship and the vault look it seems pretty functional as well.
Approx. Dimensions 6'2" high
4' wide 3' deep. Around 650kg.
Built by Michel Pernaud of Switzerland.
Signed (by Fidel Castro) on February 21 2001.
Estimated capacity of boxes is 100.
7 shelves that revolve
2 electric humidifiers one on each side.
Mahogany and maple.
