Game 1 is in the record books! Looks like King James may get what he came to Miami for! The support from Bosh and D-Wade is awesome, but the bench needs some retooling.
Mike Bibby has got to go!! Not worth the money IMHO!

Miami really needs a true point guard!! Bibby and Chalmers are average, at best. Chris Paul would be a great fit...just sayin'.

Chalmers is better than Bibby any day!
Chris Paul, would be great, but a long shot!

Neither can shoot to save their lives...and their turnover to assist ratio totally sucks!!

Not sayin' their starter material, but Bibby seems to throw way to many bricks than Chalmers.

Four max contracts? That ain't happening!
Congrats to Dallas and Miami for great years, but I think the Heat will be too much for the Mavs.

I couldn't believe the comeback in the fourth quarter by the Mavs. Actually we all should have saw it coming with all the comebacks they've had in this playoffs. I think they were down 18 against the Lakers in one game and came back. Then down 15 against the Thunder in game 3 to come back and win.
Let's go Mavs!! (even though I own a new "witness" shirt and Lebron shoes, hey a good sale is a good sale ;))

Hardly call it a comeback. More like a meltdown. Wow just wow, the last 10 possessions or more, just stupid moves by Spoelstra and Lebron. Why would you not give it to Wade when he had the hot hand. The Heat handed the Mavs the win.
I don't understand not playing Bibby that much in the 4th. He was shooting the ball so well.

Game 3 should be tense.
Normally, I can't stand the NBA. But after watching game 2 at the S.H.I.T. herf on Thursday, I'm interested.

It is going to be tough tonight for the Heat to pull off a win in Dallas. Expecially after that come back from the Mavs in game 2. I still think this series will go 7 but i am not sure who is going to take the championship home with them.

Good luck to your team, although I'm really pulling for the Mavericks (just because I think Mark Cuban is cool as hell), it would be nice to see LBJ get a ring too. Not much of a BB fan overall though.

Question for the Miami folks, do people in Miami adore Bosh?
Seems like everyone in my area hate on Bosh. I like his game, think he's an unorthodox type player but like watching him. He was a very good player on a very bad team. So what's your guys opinion on him in the Miami area. I want to shut my friends up, we argue about Bosh and the "big three" all the time.
Most all of my friends see bosh as a good player with a level head.
Here in Miami it seems that you either love the big 3 or hate them.
Ericf will chime in on this one cause he's mr. Miami heat lol.

Ok, here is my $.02! The 3 of them all have big egos. That is a given. Since they were on teams where they were the only stars, and joined up here the egos had to be put in some sort of check. For the most part they have done that with the exception of Lebron who still thinks he is "The last shot".
They have stayed out of the local limelight for the most part with a few exceptions there also, D-Wade's divorce and child custody case, Lebron's 9 million mansion and Bosh's engagement and supposed secret wedding.
They do play off of each other while playing which is good since they can't all have a good night every night.
They have done wonders for the local economy and for the team. There is a several year waiting list for tickets which was unheard of even after the 06 season when they won against Dallas. I am curious to see what happens during the off season which is when most players in any sport get into trouble.
So I feel they are 3 very good players that have teamed up to win. Good game or bad, which is subject to opinion, by any one person.
That's my story and I am sticking to it!
GO HEAT!!!:banger:banger:banger:banger:banger

My money's on Haslem. :p
Seriously, though, the Mavs had GREAT run through the playoffs, and were definitely the best TEAM. They had a true star, but it was all the guys who stepped up their games (hello, JJ Barea) that made it possible for them to win it all. Glad to see a classy guy like Dirk get a ring, as well as JKidd.

Congrats to the Mavs. Way to stay classy. I don't even like basketball. I disliked Lebron when he was here in Cleveland and after all that hoopla at the beginning of the season I think this is a very fitting ending.

Feeling guilty about rooting against the Heat has given way to "one down 5 to go". (Miami losing each year in the playoffs that Lebron is under contract).
Congrats to the Mavs and the many vets there who stepped up and proved that basketball is still a team game.

I was glad to see Dirk get his ring! He is a class act. Dirk could have left the Mavericks last year in search or the a championship after his contract expired but he chose to stay in Dallas. He never complains he just goes about his business. Before game 5 when wade and labron made an ass of them selves coughing in front of the camera mocking Dirk you didn't hear much from him. His teammates want to speak out on his behalf but he told them not to make a big deal about it. That is classy in my book . I wish there were more roll models like him for our kids to look up to.

I have been a Mavs fan since 99. I am SO glad that they finally won. So many key players helped to make it so, but having Dirk didn't hurt, lol.
One of the majors factors I think that helped them is that the refs started calling the last 2 games a bit more fairly. When that happened, you see the outcome. All year long the heat got preferential treatment, but the last 2 games of this series, the refs backed off a little.

Bah...but congrats Mav's...and to think Cleveland made a fuss about losing a guy who can't score in the 4th quarter of a game...go look on Wiki for the readthrough on the finals the Cav's played a few years ago...he did the same thing then, choked when it was on the line...any Cav's fans want him back? Maybe I can get Pat Riley to trade him for a few stoggies but atm I'm not sure he's even worth that...
