View Full Version : Nub Plus....Are you kidding me?

Got an email today from cigar.com touting the newest in cigar technology from Oliva, the Nub Plus cigar. Take the Nub Habano, add an inch to the length and voila!!!, the newest Nub. I can't see this as anything new or exciting and no way would I call a 5 inch cigar a Nub. What are your thoughts?

come on oliva, put some effort into a new lancero or figaraduro rather then just adding an inch to someone elses idea

I wish they'd be more open minded. Not everyone likes jawbreakers like I do. And try a new blend.

When nubs were released, they were marketed as being shorter to focus on that sweet spot of a cigar. If they are now making them longer, what happened to the sweet spot. :bh :r :sl

what would you call a NUB on Viagra. Cause thats what, I'd call it. Isn't it defeating the whole NUB purpose.

When I first heard about this I had high hopes since I like a few of the nubs. Like it has been mentioned already adding an inch isn't ground breaking. Just reminds me of those cheesy extenze commercials.

POISSonally, I think that Mr. Leccia must have drawn up some specs for this cigar and "hidden" them in his desk,
so that after he left, they would find it and think "BRILLIANT!" and rush it into production while Sam only
chuckled on top of the pile of his severance pay and say, "SUCKERS....CMON, seriously guys, a NUB with more length
is NOT a NUB. It's a robustus maximus. I like to call it a revenge grenade.

I have to agree that adding another anything to the length truly defeats the original purpose of this cigar.

Man... these started out at 3.5 inches, went to 4, now to 5... if the sweet spot is 5 inches long, why did they ever need to shorten the first ones?
