This 5×52 stick from Drew Estate sports a dark brown wrapper with slight tooth and very slight green tint, firm even round construction, a generous double cap, minimal veins, tight seams and a sweet hay aroma. First light reveals a surprise to me, a sweetened tip. The flavor is just overwhelming sweetness, just a big candy taste. Draw is snug but putting off plenty of smooth light smoke. 20 minutes in the sweetened tip wears down ever so slightly and a small coffee flavor can be tasted on the retrohale. 35 min in at the 1/2 way point, the coffee infused flavor really comes out. It’s mixing with the tip flavor making it very sweet and smooth. Smoke output has increased even more, draw loosened up and it’s a medium-full body. Ending at 1 hour the last third dropped the artificial sweetness just going to a very creamy coffee flavor with a ton of rich smoke. Video on the site

Thanks for the review.
Not gonna lie, I used to like these. Not a bad smoke for the money if you like infused sticks.

If you can get past the sweetened cap, which I couldn't, you'll do better than me. :D

I have never been a fan of infused cigars or ones with sweetened tips. I bought some Rex Britannica cigarillos that they failed to mention had a sweetened tip. They are just sitting in my humidor. I need to bomb them away or give them away. Maybe Frank needs another present??
Anyways, nice review and I hope there are many more to come.

I'd be careful with infused cigars in your humi...I had to throw a bunch away a few years ago cause some infused cigars made them taste funny just sitting next to them.

Haha well these just have a sweetened tip but are not infused per say. Just some kind of coating on the tip of the cigar. Idk where else to put them? Frank's house maybe?

I put them in a tupperware just now. I don't think they did anyhting to the cigars in the coolidor though as they were in their cellophane, in tins and then in the very bottom corner. They aren't really infused just have a sweet tip but better safe than sorry.

Typically, it's just sweetened pectin that is used in the construction. It's nothing that will or even could "spread" to other cigars.
