A few years ago I was gifted a Boli PC when I received my Bachelor's degree. It was absolutely the best smoking experience I have ever had. I would like to relive the experience when I complete my graduate studies in the fall.

Are there any readily available NCs with the Boli PC profile?

No.

I agree.
;s If you like them that much, just buy a box of them. don't settle for a replica or anything that attempts to recreate that same profile.

What was the profile you found in the Boli PC?

PM me your address.
I'll send you the closest match to a Boli PC that I have found to date.

OMG! He's been here since 2008. I bet he knows already to start sandbagging the house and mailbox before he even thinks of responding with a PM!!:r:r

BTW, if he sends you an addy, PM it to me. I also have some sticks that I think are a decent match to the Boli PC!

You are not going to be able to match profiles totally, due to the (extremely) different tobaccos used...

Having said that, the absolute closest I have found to the Boli Profile is the Quesada Espana...

The thought has crossed my mind many times, but in my line of work (education and soon educational administration), a customs seizure could be career ending.

And it's easier to get the Boli PC than that cigar. Lol.

It's tough to match CC profiles because nothing tastes like a CC. Just like nothing but a Dominican puro will taste like a dominican puro.

I seem to remember the stick being a little peppery and possibly citrus like. I definitely picked up cinnamon in the last 1/4. That cinnamon taste has haunted me since. I have not found the cinnamon taste in any other stick unless you count the Heaven I tried with my wife.

How so?

Texans hold their public educators to insanely high moral standards, particularly in small towns. It's so bad, coworkers and I have to travel into Dallas if we want to get a drink on a Friday afternoon. If I worked in a large district, I would not worry about a seizure. I try to avoid small-town scandals.

How would they find out about a customs seizure?

Try a Tatuaje Brown label Noella. They taste kind of similar to a Boli PC.

Guys, I live in a small town..people have ways of finding out about everything...I think the mailman has something to do with that. Maybe I'm just overly paranoid. <----most likely

I'll have to pick up a Tat and an Oliva O next time I'm in Dallas. Thanks for the suggestions.

Yeah, boy...cause when those ICE officials drive up in a squadcar to hand-deliver that summons,
they really make a big show of it. (sarcasm)
Now granted, if you ship them to your work, the envelope DOES say Offc.of Home.Sec. on it.
Wouldn't be the first letter carrier to F up someone's day, either.

Try an Illusione 888. While different, it did have some similarities with nice nutmeg and cocoa overtones on a rich earthy core that turned into black licorice. I had one from 2008 last night and enjoyed it very much. Except for the size, it did remind me of a 2007 Boli corona jr. I had last year.

I would suggest searching the NC reviews on here with the keyword cinnamon or cinamon (people do misspell). I bet you will get a ton of results.

I got 9 pages of results.

As a fellow educator, I felt the same way you did for a very long time. Kept thinking about poor Mike Price (google if necessary)...

I let the paranoia go, and haven't looked back.

Hope this helps, but at least one person understands you.

Finally, I echo everyone else's sentiment... you will not find a fast food hamburger with Kobe beef profile, vintage wine notes under a screw top, or Cuban taste in a non-Cuban cigar.

You know, I take that back, there was another cigar that had a cuban profile, the WCD 120...If you put that in a blind review, I bet 9 out of 10 people would say it was Cuban...

In the south, we have a saying...Just because the sun shines on a dog's ass once doesn't mean that it always does. I was making generalities based on the O.P. and the majority of those whose opinions I respect.

I do NOT think Cabaiguans taste like Bolivars. Not even close. But, as I am sure you are well aware, there is a lot that goes into individual taste profiles.

There is a Kobe beef hamburger that is served in NYC.

I don't drink, so I can't comment on a screw top wine bottle.

I am not interested in engaging in a Moki/Fredster challenge.

Also, I am sure you could dig up a post on puff.com where I thought a RyJ Casadores was NC... based on the overwhelming power, I still don't like them.

At any rate, you just unlocked the search badge on CA FourSquare. Sleep well tonight, my friend.

To that well thought out response, I say :tg

But in all seriousness, taste is subjective. That's why I asked what profile the OP was shooting for. It makes the searching a bit more refined. Keep in mind though, one person could taste cinnamon where another persons mental link puts that as a earthy or sweet taste. IMO (bolded for clarity) I would say the distinction between Cuban and NC has been getting less and less.

I am completely comfortable hugging it out with Wayne (and Tim, for that matter).

Matter o' fact, I can't wait to hug it out at Shack, Tim...

Shortbus, I don't know you well, but will also hug it out should you feel the desire. And, yeah, that is clearly a nudge you felt. I am very close to an educator who HYPOTHETICALLY has seen a few confiscation letters, and his job is safe! I can't remember his name at the moment, but we're really close.

Seriously, a thread about findings a $8-12 cigar that might come close to tasting as good as a $5 Cuban seems a little silly.

Personally, I have not found a NC that could fit the flavor profile.

Sure, you could buy some over at wades, and ask that they be sent with no box and no bands...No one would ever know you were smoking a cuban.

:tu thumbs up to this option. I haven't imported anything since the big crackdown, and it hasn't slowed down my CC consumption at all.
