ok so I had to get rid of my nice gas/charcoal dual sided grill when I got divorced and have been always lookin for anoth smoker...i read Vin's thread about looking for a smoker and came across a couple posts about an Ugly Drum Smoker and I researched it and got a rundown from Brent (smokingator) and co-worker and I just picked up 2 drums with lids for 10 bux. I work for 2 citys and we think we can scrounge for most of the supplies...
will burn them out tomorrow if boss will let me...pics to follow!!

One bit of advice on the bacon brother... after it is cured only start a half dozen or so briqs for the UDS. Bring it SLOWLY up to 150 or so and then lock it down. You don't want the the temps to get up at all or you will over cook the bacon.
