The Honduran made Nicaraguan puro young brother of the 2008 cigar of the year is finally available in The Netherlands and for a very budget friendly price I might say. These 5x54 robusto has a price tag of only € 4.00 here, which is good. The cigar gets his name from the Cuban seed Nicaraguan oscuro wrapper.

The wrapper is oily and almost black with just one thin vein. The silver band and the black wrapper give a nice contrast. The construction feels good and I smell a mixture of chocolate and a barnyard. The predraw is fine and I taste peppery tobacco.

I taste a lot of white pepper with some soil. Soon I also taste chocolate and wood. After three quarters of an inch I get a lot more pepper and some herbs. Halfway some leather shows up with wood and pepper. The pepper is overpowering the other flavors.

Soon after a lot of herbs join the pepper, the leather and the wood. After two thirds the pepper gets even stronger and it is close to being too strong. The cigar gets really spicy.

This cigar lasted me an hour and twenty-five minutes. I got a lot of white smoke, and the smoke is thick too. The draw is great. I had to correct the burn a few times. The pepper and salt colored ash is coarse but firm. This cigar is full flavored and full bodied.

Would I buy this cigar again? I prefer the belicoso
