Jaime Garcia blended this cigar himself with a blend of two different Nicaraguan tobaccos, one from their own farm and one from the Oliva Tobacco Company (not to be confused with the Oliva Cigar Company) and he decided to wrap the blend in a Connecticut broadleaf. And he just added a super gordo to the line, a 5¾x66 pre-cut torpedo.

The Connecticut broadleaf wrapper is dark and oily with just a few veins. I smell straw. The cigar feels well constructed. The predraw is fine.

I taste pepper with a spicy earthy flavor and a hint of chocolate. The pepper fades away quickly and I taste herbs instead. The cigar remains spicy though. After half an inch the chocolate gets stronger.

After an inch and a half I taste herbs with a little bit of chocolate and pepper. After two thirds the flavors change to dried herbs with some wood. The chocolate has disappeared. Near the end I can also taste some nutmeg.

Don't light this cigar when you only have a small amount of time, it lasted me for two hours and fifteen minutes. The draw was great and I got a good amount of smoke, but unfortunately the smoke was quite thin. The dark gray and coarse ash is firm. I had some burn issues. This cigar is medium to full flavored and medium bodied.

Would I buy this cigar again? Normally I would say 'no' due to the thick ring gauge which usually makes blends more bland and are hard to smoke, but in this case I will say 'yes' as the cigar stays flavorful and the shape makes it easy to smoke.

Sounds good, but the ring gauge is too much for me....thanks for sharing.
