NTB is talking me into Pirelli P Zero Nero All Seasons to replace my Conti ProContacts (which I like and are OEM). Anyone have recent experience with P Zero Nero's?

Looking at some reviews at TireRack, it seems like a common complaint is short lived tire wear.

I most worried about noise, as that is a common trait with Pirelli. Well, I told them to mount the Pirelli's. They screwed up in only finding 3 Conti's, so they are giving me a sweetheart deal for 4 P Zero's with an alignment, warranty, etc... for the same as TireRack's price delivered.

I have only experienced the P Zero. Not Zero Nero and I can say I hated it. It oddly made my car hop when hitting a bump. Scary to say the least. I'd stick with Conti's since tires are one thing you do not want to skimp on.

Until recently I had the P Zero Nero on my MINI Cooper S. Great tire -- they hug the road well, which is great for our club road trips! The downside is that (as with most performance tires) the better they hug the road (stickier they are) the faster they wear...
I did not find them any more or less noisy than any other performance tire... (My standard of comparison is the stock run-flats that MINI provides -- very noisy)

Personally the best tire I have ever owned was the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. Great performance and also very good life for such a tire.
Downside: expensive

I had Pirelli P6 on my wife's car and hated them.
Full disclosure: I work for your OEM supplier.

What kind of car and can they get the newer Continental Extreme Contact DWS (Dry/Wet/Snow)?
