I'm grinding though the last few tweaks and corrections of a major paper due tomorrow afternoon. Was sitting here enjoying an RS 12 and oddly enough paired with a 12yr old Craggenmore. It suddenly dawned on I'm probably not the only BOTL on the home stretch right now...

It's crunch time right now but finals are just around the corner. Guys, we're so close.

Good luck! :ss

You guys are lucky to be finished soon.

I'm trying to finish my thesis before Christmas. Unfortunately, my writing is not tied to the semester so I'll be at it for the next 3-4 weeks. Or longer if I don't get off CA and do some work.:D

I sure as hell hope so cause I'm almost done with mine. Two more classes to go! It can't end soon enough. Stupid me, I'm thinking of going for a second Masters or a Doctorate shortly after finishing this MBA. I need to stay out of school for a while and actually do some work.

What are you studying?

Currently working on a master's in Japanese, concentrating on medieval Japanese literature.

Actually, it's not so bad. Medieval lit is just stuffed full of blood, gore, and sex. It's like going to see and R (or NC-17) rated movie everyday.

I hear ya. While avoiding working on my Masters, I became a welding apprentice so I could make some real bucks. I had originally wanted to go on to my PhD and teach at the University, but that's on hold for now. Welding pays good bucks, I like working with my hands and I like not having to take my job home with me in the evening.

Are you in school now?

It really depends on what you want to do and what you are interested in.

I have had the opportunity to learn and do some neat things because of my grad experience, even if I don't carry on to work directly in my field.

So you don't hate yourself enough to go for the major? :r

Pretty sweet. If you have a chance try taking a class on classical. Whole different ballgame than Tokyo standard, and pretty necessary if you want to read even slightly older texts. That and it's fun (did I mention the violence?), and modern grammar makes a whole lot more sense afterwards.

Why the biology course?

Cus.. they fill our schedules with all the hard classes early, then our Senior year, fill the gaps with Senior Design (which utilizes the skills from the hard courses), then fill the gaps with the electives to fill our 'required' crap that the university mandates.

Done... and as for grades... well, they are what they are.

I don't see many engineers brag about their grades :) I just see them bragging that they passed.

my last semester of college was my worst ever, I got my acceptance letter for pharmacy school half way through, and I made A's in my required for pharmacy classes, and I think solid C's everywhere else. Just enough to graduate :D
