I'm not building a bar per se, but in our entertainment room plans for downstairs we are building floor to ceiling, wall to wall shelving. At the back end of it, I will have a bar fridge and some shelving/cupboards for my Scotch collection and some glassware. The plan is to be able to set up that area as a mini bar when needed.

Won't be until the spring though. Good luck with your plans and post pics when you get at it.:al

MAN, mrsreindeer & I were just talking about this last night! I hope our dream comes true and we get to do a room complete with bar, home theater & smoking lounge! It's gonna take some time but at least she's open to the idea (although we're trying for a kid so it may have to convert to nursery before bar...ery).

Here's a site that may be of some help for you. I think you have to pay for the actual plans but should be able to window shop for free.

It is very functional as bar and extra storage space!

not even close to as classy, and more of a in-garage bar, but its certainly home made, and perfect for some college kids

That's a sweet set-up. I'll store the Clos du Val for you if you want. :D

Stearns, if you are in college, that is what I call living the high-life! Nice, I could easily see myself and my college buddies spending a weekend there without leaving back in the day. When you get out of college, a little paint, nicer bar stools and you will be back to living the high life!
