Saw Pete posted in his facebook page that Gary Artz died last night. A true cigar character. He will be missed.

What cigar things did he do? Why will you remember him?

A week ago I was talking with someone close to Gary and they simply said he was dying, but I had no idea / did not realize that Mr. Artz was that close to passing.

RIP a truly unique character and fixture in the world of cigars and condolences to his family, friends those who knew him. Mr. Artz, you shall be missed.

This is embarrassing, I accidentally juxtaposed the t and z in Gary's last name. It's Arzt, not artz. :bh

Had the chance to meet Gary in december, great guy, really passionate, and his video interviews with Pete Johnson and Pepin are always good for a laugh
