decide what your favorite cigars are amongst a variety of cigars with the same tobacco, same quality of leaf, and roll quality?

I.E. what would your deciding factor be between two cigars that are both nicaraguan, 8 dollar price range, and the same length / ring guage, of two different brands.

Flavor and construction. If all else is the same, those are the two deciding factors for me.

MJ summed it up pretty well. And to add, just because a cigar's tobacco comes from a certain area, doesn't mean it will taste the same as another one from the same area.

I'll add complexity to the mix!

I love it when a cigar starts out one way and ends another!

Consistency is wonderful but complexity keeps me coming back!!! :2

The same way I would decide between any two things, the one I like the most. The one that stands out just a bit more than the other.

Price...i won't bother smoking cigars that cost more than $2.49

Quality and flavor.

What Mj and Skywalker said sums it up for me.

Flavor. My tastes are my tastes and some cigars are delightful, others not so much. Assuming I had tried both, there would be one that stood out as being more complex, and matching my flavor profile the closest. That is the one I would go with. After trying several sticks from different brands, I tend to find a brand that I gravitate toward (for Nics, it is Padron for me).

Another vote for flavor and construction. If I'm on the fence about a stick, and the burn, draw and construction are spot on......I will smoke it again and again. Part of the smoking experience for me is being able to sit back, relax, and not worry about touch ups and wrapper flaws.

Flavor (that may include strength, flavor, complexity, etc... all wrapped together) and post-light construction would be the two deciding factors.

Flavor, construction, size, strength. Oh, and a cool looking band! Yeah, ridiculous, I know...

Taste, specifically, complexity of flavors, and roll construction (draw) are the big ones for me.
