Nate Dogg was one of the greatest in hip hop. Although he wasn't a rapper, he sang on at least one track for most every major star's albums. Best known for his work with Snoop, Dre, and Warren G.

The best at hitting the chorus!
I had no idea who Nate Dogg was before I read the article you posted Andy. Heck, I didn't even recognize but maybe 1/3 of the artists named in the article, but it's always kind of a downer to see an influential musician pass, and it seems that Nate Dogg was definitely that.

yep, it was a sad day. sounds like he was having lots of health problems.
I would say he was hip-hop/r&b. Although is solo work was great, it did not compare to his collaboration efforts with the greats like snoop and g

From the first time I heard 'Regulators' I've been a Nate Dogg fan, he will be missed. While rap, and especially gangsta rap, may not be for everyone Nate Dogg had a truly special voice. I believe he was a Marine as well.
